Incredible set of compressors.
I love these on vocals, kick and overheads. I go between an 1176 and LA2A on bass though. These are the cream of the crop as far as 1176 emulations go. I love them and they work on every mix. The Legacy is nice but these really open things up.

Perfect
I really liked the legacy LA2A plugin, and I wasnt sure how to improve on it. Well I was wrong, These three plugins are incredible on vocals, bass and SNARE. Seriously, I see lots of love for the 1176 on drums, but damn the LA2 is amazing on snare drum. buy these plugins and dont look back.

A Fantastic And Quick Alternative EQ
I was looking for the Eq that would pull out the Midrange in a bass track a place it in the forefront. This worked for what I needed it to do. It also works for giving a lift in the high end for vocals and overheads. I went to the presets and tweaked it to fit my mix. Nice.

Pultec for ever
The differences between the old and the new version of this
legendary EQ is amazing!
I've been waiting for too long before upgrading this fantastic plug-in...

Awsome!
I'm still learning this massive plug-in but have to say even knowing the basics has shown great results and oh by the way I caught it on sale thanks UAD

Classic Limiter Plug-In Collection
I can´t believe how simple and easy this Plug-In effects guitar and vocals. All the noise normally left on my recordings is history now. There is no comparable tool on the market these days. Congratulations for giving me the ability to fine-tune my productions now on a level unrivaled.

Best compressor/Limiter I've used I see why they are studio favorites

Are you from LA-2?
I can't say a bad word about these compressors. I've been using them a lot on my mix bus, just knocking off 1db but adding so much nice colour and character. LA-2 on the slower tracks and Silver on the more uptempo ones and it constantly leaves me amazed when I start to A/B.
And sorry for the terrible 'joke' in the review title.

Upgrade from Legacy
When I got the Apollo I figured I had enough 1176 plug ins and when they gave me the legacy edition ones I thought they were fine, no more, no less. During a recent sale I decided to pull the trigger on the 1176 collection wondering how different they could really be from one another and from the other off brand 1176 plugs I have. Well I am glad I did. These quickly became my go to 1176 flavors. This being one of my favorite compressors but not being able to afford racks full of these things, this is a perfect alternative. Like many folks, I do not want to say they are a 100% alternative to hardware (because then my hardware would be worth the price of a plug in), but they sound pretty damn good. For the price, it is a no brainer.

Pultec
Work real good, black round buttons, good – me like.
Cavemen enjoy feeling knobs with mouse-hands, very tactile.
Can't use spear, bad, wreck monitor screen thing.
Me buy again, trade 3 stegosaurs spikes for purchase next plugin.

Best emulation of the Pultec
This is by far the best Pultec emulation I have heard to date. The low end sounds much better on this than my Waves version. I highly recommend this plugin.

Pultec Passive EQ Collection
I found this new release of these plug-ins to be quite handy on many sources. It is quite a step up from the originals. Makes the drums shine, but they are useful on just about anything. It was a great deal and I could not be happier adding these to my eq arsenal. You cannot go wrong with these.

Fairchild Tube Limiters a go-to
Having used many of the plug in emulations over the years, I've always had that reaction of "this knob doesn't do much," or, "not better than bypassed." Now, this powerful Fairchild Tube Limiter plug in really does something. I use the 660 and 670 plug ins on vocals and drums these days. The "poof" that you get on a drum set is as addictive as any compressor can be. Overcompressing a vocal just gets bigger and more electrified. If you want to use it on a mix buss, you may find you "can't hear it," while getting results of more loudness on your meters, which is ideal for me.
Having the hi-pass sidechain, the headroom control, and the mix feature absolutely make it the handiest and best Fairchild emulation I've used.

In your face vocals!
I am very impressed by the LA2A collection. It realy sounds like the analog gear to my ears. I use these regularly in sessions on vocals and acoustic guitar. LOVE these plugins! I've used many other emulations of this hardware and none even come close to UA stuff. Highly recommend!

1176 Classic Limiter lives up to it's name
I've been using an "old faithful" UA 11776LN hardware unit for some time. I love to use it both when tracking and mixing. In the past I've not been incredibly impressed by the other software versions I've tried. Some aren't bad, but until now I haven't found one that really captures the sound and character of the unit that I'm used to.
Now I have that 1176LN sound on as many channels as I like, and thanks to Apollo, I can still use them when I'm tracking.
I'm really impressed. The 1176 "Blueface" and AE versions are stunning too!

More nice look, more nice sound
Beautiful look I love it. However, any of them sounds better than the legacy version. More clear, more big, more close.
I have a 6176 hardware to make the records and then I put one of these at the end of the chain as a limiter.
Better than anything.

Dead easy, gorgeous looking, sweet sounding
I've never worked with a real Pulteq, and quite frankly I never understood why people were raving about this old box. Haven't EQs gotten so much better over the years?
Well, I don't know if it's the ease of use or the character it has but I do see now why it is still so popular. It has become my go-to EQ for guitars and individual drums, even sometimes vocals.
Many times just because it's so dead easy to dial in.
This new version is not all that different sonically from the legacy plug. It does have some more beef low end and some slight improvements, but sadly not enough for me to pay the price.
The GUI is one of the most beautiful UA has put out there and it is also optimised for retina displays which few of the UA plugs are. A+!

Versatility Defined!
Having three beautifully modeled, unique variants of one of the most versatile, classic compressors, makes this collection indispensable. Absolutely stellar sounding set of plugins that I wouldn't want to mix without.
I really wish UA would put a mix knob on these. Most of the newer plugins have it and it makes parallel processing so much easier.
