More than just a Blackface 1176
Legacy holds it own.shift-click all buttons in.New version adds 3 more incarnation of the 1176 the Rev A (silver and blue) the Rev E (2nd 1176)the only limited edition AE (only 500 hardware comp ever made). More colors for your Dynamic and tone Palette.

Great on kick
I didn't really understand the love for the Pultec until I tried the boost/attenuate trick on a weakish kick. Instant thump.
The high boost works great for synth and keyboard parts you want to cut through. The filters are useful as well (especially automated).
I would definitely recommend.

Great upgrade to legacy plus extras
Like all mkII upgrades the Pulteq EQ collection is a very nice upgrade over the legacy version. A bit more depth and character with the new version, though I still use the legacy on some sources. The filter is the sleeper plugin in this bundle. Don't have another filter that can so dramatically alter the frequency response while retaining and even sweetening the source material.

Squishy goodness
This is a must have for all studios. Tremendous job replicating the original vintage compressors and limiters. These show up on most of my tracks on every mix and I use them to track on the front end as well. If you do not have these you should save to make this your next purchase.

UA's Finest
I guess Universal Audio did stay true to what they make and you can see it well in the 1176. I personally haven't seen any other plug in company come close to the unit as UA did. Pretty awesome

Wow what a difference from the Legacy version...and I was pretty happy with that. Then I bought the LA-2A bundle and what a difference! So great, one of the best UAD plugins I've bought so far, really good. A go to on vocals. UAD did it again five stars. Wish I hadn't waited so long to buy his one.

Fast fix
these is the only plugin I put it so quick because they are so easy, just insert and check the meter to see compression not more then -3 to -5, then use the Gain (as a makeup gain)
that is it.move to other track.
this plugins even if you are not professional do not worry it is so easy and effectual

Pultec upgrade from legacy
Excellent modeling,I compared it to my real pultec that came out of a radio station in New Jersey.I brought 5 colleagues into the studio and did a blind fold test....no one could tell the difference between the hardware or the new plug in....
