Just brought them, but mutch to late I do realise now. Works good for drums and vocals.

Worth updating
I take advantage of a promotion and update the stock LA-2A to this collection and it's worth every penny. Each version has his own character and they sound amazing.
A. Faur
This and la2a are the best emulations you can find.
For me the best emulations to date.

working great so far
very nice to have side chain filter and mix knobs on this version. More flexible and nice color - can't compare against the actual hardware as I don't own the actual hardware. lol.
Yes I paid a lot less than some other posters in this thread as it was first discounted because I bought the Fairchild legacy model 4 years ago, and also have a coupon (and it was on sale as well). Moral of this story? If you are worried about $50 then wait for the sale and a coupon.
reliability has been great with UAD system in general - this is a quad UAD-2 PCI card and as long as I have paid attention to the supported OSX then I have had no problems. On my older Mac Pro 1,1 I had to not bother with this new one. Now that I have upgraded all is good.

So Good
Such an upgrade from the legacy version. Silky. Smooth. Shockingly close to the original in sound.

The Fez
I started putting the Fairchild on a couple of tracks such as electric guitar, bgs, keys and synths, I find myself placing it on more tracks as the sessions progress. I love the smoothness but sometimes wondered if it was really making that much of a sonic difference until I bypassed it. I really love the sonic glue and sheen.

this eq is like butter, between this and millenia I am all set

Essential
Always loved the 1176 sounds that I heard in the studio I worked in. Being able to dial in key sounds (especially with the AE) has been essential to enhancing the sound of my personal studio and has for sure taken my mixes to a higher level.

Great Tool-MUST have!
As said above....Great compressors! Like real hardware!!!!!!!
T. Friesecke
Perfect
Just a perfect emulation of the great hardware. And so much better than the legacy-version of the plug-in.
P. Jelfs
Best plugin sound available!
This is in a different league to most other plugins / native - it just adds that extra thickness that is so hard to get otherwise!
A+
.
Incredible
I write a lot of techno and this is go to Limiter TOP!!!!!!!
B. Klukovic
Simple and sweet!
My limiter of choice, you can do so much with them on almost all kind of tracks. My favorite combo is a 1176 in front to squeeze and add some dirt with "all-buttons-IN" and then place the LA-2A in the back of it OR vice versa, put a LA-2A at first to limit and to even out the sound a bit (but only a little bit) and the compress it. Unfortunately I cannot give examples, would be too long for this review box.
Another swiss army knife collection, MUST HAVE!

A pack which covers everything!!
If you don´t have the money for this pack, why the heck did you buy a UAD platform? This pack was one of the first I bought and it serves me more than well!!
Every revision has it´s own charakter and in the beginning you have to play around A LOT to find out the one which suits you the best. But I used all of them with great success on everything I mixed and I am really glad having them! Don´t forget to watch tutorials to get the best out of this excellent compressors!!!
B. Klukovic
Smooth and clear!!!
It´s just WOW when you turn on the highs on the EQ-P1A and THEN roll them off at the same time. This kind of coloration can be only made with this one without harshness and that "plastic" feeling of other kind of derivations of this EQ.
I heard also the hardware and must admit that the UAD version doesn´t lack the deepness of which everyone talks all the time, for me it´s sounds round, full and perfect. GOOD JOB UAD!! :)))

MUST HAVE!!!
In the past, before I started with the UAD stuff, I used a lot of the Waves version and I liked it really - then I met the UAD Fairchild. Must admit that it is REALLY smooth and it kicks ass when it comes to glueing (can you call it glue? It´s somehting else..) stuff together with a certain kind of magic.
What I especially like is the kind of fullness the 670 brings for me on almost everything I wanna enchant with it, no matter if bass, buss or whatever I need. The 660 is IMHO a bit too aggressive, but since I had a liverecording with a band, incorporating a singer which was a bit weak in his voice on this day, I gave it a try and was suprised! I guess, not liking something is only a result of not trying all the capabilities.

So glad I purchased
I'm tring out this bundle and so far I'm happy I made the purchase. Love everything these unit have to offer Im still learning how they work but so for from what I have learned the sound and CPU processing is great

Can't work without it
This set is amazing. The eq alone is just bliss. I have so many other eq's that just don't compare. My current go to setting on the eq is 10K with 2-4db boost. I regret not buying it sooner and using it on my previous mix-downs.

Another five-star rating, and deservedly so.
This is a fantastic set of character EQs.
The EQ-P1A is quite simple: a low-shelf, a high-peak, and a low-pass. Its strokes are broad and it does glorious things to highs & lows.
The MEQ-5 is my favorite EQ for doing mid-scoops without being incredibly aggressive. The "Dip" section finds its way on a lot of my mixes, allowing me to arrive at a "modern" sound but with vintage vibe. The boosts are ridiculously smooth as well.
And the HLF-3C, while probably the least exciting of the three, is the one I use the most. The filters do their thing beautifully; nothing sounds "chopped off", but rather just natural and so slightly rounded.
Don't overlook the "old" Pultec Pro either! It's earned its status as a classic, for a fraction of the DSP.
