Big Sound
The sound the PREAMP and the Plugins they all perfect worth your money and i use them with logic pro and even i do use them to finalize my Audio in all video projects as a Hi end Resolution. Thanks for UAD

Game Changer
This really is an amazing piece of gear, in terms of the sound and conversion. It has brought my signal chain up to standard with the rest of the industry, with the clearest and most powerful conversion for the money on the market. I would give it 5 starts, but the software is a little buggy and although I'm running PC instead of Mac, it's 2013! We should have this kind of software figured out by now for the OS that represents the majority of the market!
Nevertheless, I'd buy it again even knowing about the slight bugginess. Here's to hoping they figure that out in the near future...

A brilliant interface
UA have really hit the spot with this unit. Brilliant mic pre's, great routing choices for monitoring and/or recording, Console software is so easy to use and does all you want it to in a really straightforward manner, and the sound is, of course, amazing. Absolutely brilliant.

LONGTIME UAD user.
I just want to say that the SERVICE I've received has been OUTSTANDING! The quality of these plug-ins are just STELLAR!!! I am loving the Apollo DUO and it has more than enough power to handle even my biggest recording projects. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND UNIVERSAL AUDIO for such a great product!
Just buy it. You won't regret it!

Driver Unstable!
This is a one star review because of your driver, which is extremely buggy and unstable.
This review will change to five star if you make the driver rock solid.
It seems that your main concern is selling plugins.
Well, my concern is a reliable piece of equipment that will record music without thinking about technical details.

This is an AMAZING piece of gear
I have been talking about buying a High Definition interface for my computer. I am a Non Performing Songwriter that records and mixes Original Songs. This unit does exactly what it is advertised to do. If you watch the You Tube Videos this unit will perform just like the ones you see. I did not know anyone with this unit so I bought it on faith. I watched alot of videos and I always discount what I see so that I am not disappointed. Well I was surprised. this unit did everything and more that I saw on the internet. It records like a dream. The plugins are phenomenal. If I knew how good this unit was I would have bought it a long time ago.

The apollo is a normal interface the AD/DA are similar like a digi 002, nothing fantastic, no control-surface for the money, no more IO, to much money for what it offers.
but if you have good pluggins not have to worry, Do not need a apollo

byebye outboards and mixer gear
Finally I got one ! I plugged ( near ) all my synths, I can know record them with no latence using API or Neve comp and Eq, the sound is 80% near the originals.
But, I can' t give 5 stars as we can' t use the 2 Adat Input despite they physically exist ! That' s a huge problem as I have 14 synthesizers but I can only plug 9 in stereo, with the 2nd adat I could plug 13 of my synths. Please UAD, give life to this 2 adat connector :)

Apollo QUAD: Incredible
I can't give it enough credit. Truly an epic piece of engineering. The only thing that I would absolutely love to see happen would be the ability to use non-UAD plugins in real time. Software update sometime in the future? Hopefully!

Perfect
I bought the Apollo Quad with the Thunderbolt card. I was tired of the problems I was having with the other converters I've used.
The speed of this is a game changer. I do mostly commercial composition and I need to have as many soft synths open as possible without having to print them.
The sonic quality on the other hand, is outstanding. All my mixes sound way bigger, wider, clearer and generally more enjoyable to listen to.
The functionality is great and everything is built really solid.
I could not be happier!

Changes the game!
Loving my UAD Apollo Quad! First impressions were amazing. Great quality and very nice looking. Even the box it came in and the box that held the manuals, etc. was sleek. Set up was painless. The fact that this is a complete interface, built in DSP, and allows you to use the UAD plugins is amazing! Great bang for your buck. I would highly recommend this product to anyone else.

minuses:
- ADDA quality is unexpectedly low
- 18% load on DSP with 0 PIs was unexpected either (shoul be able to turn off IO features to free up the DSP)
- Constant errors related to FW bandwidth (I use MB Pro 9.1) thus thunderbolt option is a must

how awesome... !!!
Man! this single piece of gear really revolutionized the way I make music.
I do mixdown, we do documentary soundtracks and we also do some feature films.
and being able to connect the Apollo straight through thunderbolt cable makes it so simple any complements perfectly with the UAD2 card that we already have inside our computer.
i'm also a saxophone player so I am able to process my signal right through the Apollo without latency and play it live at concerts: I can set up my sound and have it right away precisely as I set it in my studio.
Moreover I can also use my Ewi with my samed trumpet that can be processed through Pultec and La2 to achieve the sound that I want.
Now I can do things that were simply impossible to achieve

I got my cake and ate it too!
I just purchased an Apollo Quad & several UAD plug-ins to replace my Avid Pro Tools HDX and Waves Mercury system. I am overjoyed with not only the product, but also the top quality customer service & support.
I've worked with the best of companies and I have never experienced the level of support before that Universal Audio offers.
The Apollo interface & drivers are working seamlessly with my Mac Pro & the Apollo delivers power and speed that is nearly a match to the HDX and HD IO 16 I was using before.
The plug-ins are good looking, powerful, fun to work with and so closely emulate the real deal.
Now, when I sit down at my computer, I keep thinking I'm going to wake from a really good dream. Alas, I am awake and it is real!

UA Gear Software & Uad-2 Cards!!!
All I can say after 16 years in the game Mixing/Mastering UA Has the Best Sound with the Uad-2 "Plugins Game" Hands Down, and Now picked up the Apollo. I'm Speechless!!
