Same as the MK1 but better!
Sold my MK1 and upgraded a couple of weeks ago.
Great additional functions available right on the unit, instead of having to use the mouse and the Console software. A little more clarity in the DA, haven't tested the mic pre amps yet, but hoping for good things.

Unison kicks ass!!!!!
I had an RME Fireface 800 for a long time but recently decided to shrink down my entire studio setup so that it's more portable. I used to think Unison was a bunch of BS but upon using the 1073 plugin, I was so shocked at how much it sounded like the actual 1073 that I have. I had a producer come by and listen to a track that I recorded earlier with the plugin on, and without telling about my recent purchase, he asked me if I had used my 1073 pre!

The best
Best Audio Interface!

Powerful, Stylish & Sounds Amazing
The Quad is a DSP powerhouse. Having owned Manly & Neve rack gear in the past, UAD plugins are mind blowing. The analogue digital argument is over forever for me...
I still can't believe you can buy latency free recording, monitor control with mono switch, headphone & talkback system all in such a stylish and intuitive design for this kind of money.
Best interface I've ever owned.

Great addition to the family
In my home studio I was really tired of fiddling around my monitor controllers and headphone amps. the Twin MKII finally gave me the missing link between my Apollo system and my monitors and talkback. .... and the extra DSP never hurts either :)

Great improvement from the original

Superb!
I really love my Twin Duo. It gives me much more CPU power because of it´s duo DSP.
Previously I owned the Twin Solo mki, and although I never had a problem with it I know feel like a spoiled child considering how many plug-ins the mkii can drive.
Lately i´ve spent a lot of time in both analog and digital studios with SSL-consoles, LA-2As, 1176s, Distressors, Neve 1073s, Bricasti and so forth. However I still get that wonderful sound from my Twin Duo, and I always use it when I mix.
The only problem with owning a Twin Duo is that I want more than I originally did. More plug-ins, more gear and so on. I have truly become a gearslut. Ah, all is well.
Loving it.

Apollo Twin Mkii
To some, the talkback mic may not be that big of a deal, but it saves me a lot of unnecessary wiring and routing. That alone was great. It connected to my Apollo 16 via Thunderbolt cable without any issues and I was up and running with an additional two channels and a talkback mic. As always, a fantastic product.

Making music again.
When my previous audio interface died, I decided to try something new. I needed something with low noise world-class pre-amps. With the Unison technology and access the world-class plugins the UA Apollo was the the way to go! I'm making music again and that's the best thing about the Apollo.

Excellence in a small package
After coming from a FireWire digi002...this little piece of heaven was the best things I've purchased in the last 5 years. Excellent sound, great processing power, and an overall great buy. Highly recommended!

Life Changing !

Believe the hype!
The mic preamp on this thing... wow. The realtime Unison plugins... wow. The Apollo Twin changed my recordings for the best, no longer do I have a delay when trying to monitor instruments with plugins, and... AND... somehow I'm able to reduce my sample size to 32 without any cracks or distortion in the same computer I had a 1200 dllr sound card, having to force it to over 1024 samples. Interesting. Well worth the money.

The best desktop audio interface
I've bought several audio interfaces through the years, but the Twin it's by far the best in the market for desktop applications. The Unison tecnology permits you to control plugins through your device and give you an analog recording feel; the AD/DA converter is pristine clear for an accurate listening of your mixes; expandibility with other apollos or different brands (up to 8 imputs controllable with Console software), all with the best support from UA. You can't go better than Apollo!

Lovely machines
A slick and powerful unit! Very impressed. This thing makes my digital workspace an analog nerds dream rig.

Perfect Solution for Professional Streaming (Games, Lectures, etc.)
Sincerely, the Apollo Twin MKII streamlined my previously tedious, routing-latent recording/streaming process. My computer no longer devours valuable CPU to polishing audio, and the Apollo replaces my outboard rig while providing exponentially superior results. Since I can save all of my settings using Console, I literally turn my computer on to find all of my settings loaded for my preamp, channel strip, and limiter. It can hardly get more "Plug-in-and-play" than this!
My only two suggestions:
* Set some money aside for plugins since there are usually massive deals just after registering your Apollo. You'll thank me! (and, yes, they are so worth it)
* Pick up the Duo or Quad. In my case, one heavily processed channel is sufficient, but I would need an upgrade to run two microphones with my present plugin configuration.
