Most versatile, best sounding EQ
This and the 1176 are the most used UA plugins I own. Use them way more often than the expensive ones like Massive Passive.
Definitely check them out!

Every session I end up using a couple of Pultec's
The Pultec is my go to eq for guitars, bass and vintage keyboards.
I really like the simple lay out of the controls, and the magic that goes on, once you boost and attenuate the same frequency range at the same time
I already liked the original Pultec plug-ins, but the these new versions are just a little better.

sounds like a 512C to ears !
I was planning on buying an API 512C preamp but after tracking with the API Vision plugin in Unisson mode I have to my humble ears the same sonic punch and clarity. The EQ is also really musical.

Magic for your Mix!
So far, I'd have to say this is my favorite UA plugin so far. It sounds incredible on everything. I have to repeat what everyone else is saying regarding the Ampex. I've been using this on the the master and it just blends everything together so well. It really has been like magic on my final sound. I was hooked after the first day of using it. Love this plugin. Demo it. I think you'll feel the same way.

Nailed it!
In comparing this to the original plugin set I wasn't noticing a huge difference on kick, bass, etc... When I put it across the 2bus though it was almost immediate satisfaction. Before adjusting anything I heard and felt that thing that pultec type eq's bring (sheen, weight). UA nailed that. It makes a difference just being in the signal path. Subtle adjustments are really effective and help finish a mix nicely. Great product.

This plugin collection is just plain awesome.. Sounds just like the hardware to me. Plus there are 3 versions with different sonic flavor. = Dope.

I was a big fan of the legacy pultec. I upgraded the 1176 and LA2A collections a long time ago, but waited on the pultecs because the legacy was just so good. I finally updated the pultecs during UA's must excellent holiday sale and have been loving this version. It does everything the legacys did but smoother and quieter. I recommend upgrading the pultec, but get the 1176 and LA2A collections first (or get the bundle and save a few bucks)

Awesome
This plugin will really help add that analog tape feel to digital tracks. I have a couple tape machines in the studio, but this thing saves me a ton of time and money and gives me 99% of the real sound of tape. I prefer the Ampex tape plugin but I'm not sure why, I still give this thing 5 stars as nothing else outside of UA compares.

Perfect
I really liked the legacy LA2A plugin, and I wasnt sure how to improve on it. Well I was wrong, These three plugins are incredible on vocals, bass and SNARE. Seriously, I see lots of love for the 1176 on drums, but damn the LA2 is amazing on snare drum. buy these plugins and dont look back.

Love this plugin too much. I'd put it in my top 5 as far as quality of sound and amount I use it. It goes on almost every master (along with my trusty UA shadow hills comp plug) and it also finds work on guitars, drums and keys. in the digital world it really warms things up. WIth the right settings you can get chorusy and slapback delay type effects with this plugin as well. It can be pristine warmth, or total distorted filth, depending on what you're after.

A Fantastic And Quick Alternative EQ
I was looking for the Eq that would pull out the Midrange in a bass track a place it in the forefront. This worked for what I needed it to do. It also works for giving a lift in the high end for vocals and overheads. I went to the presets and tweaked it to fit my mix. Nice.

I made a great choice in buying this
I have been using the SSL channel strip for a while and it does the job but not like this channel strip does. I wanted a warm sound for a british Rock/Pop sound, and I tell you, this is The channel strip for me now. I can dial exactly what I want. the sounds is just so beautiful and warm. So warm and cuddly, it feels like being under a cotton blanket on a really cold night. It has everything I need in one plugin, way more than the SSL has. The gain is fabulous, the low and high filters are magical, the compressor is simple and amazing, the noise gate is perfect and the expander is so musical, the equalizer is amazing with the pre and post switch. All hail API Vision and UAD for a great product.

OMG turn the bias all the way down and play with the in-gain, amazing degenerating and degrading effects. love the way the sounds break in form nothing ness.
Erm as a tape effect though, sometimes its invisible and sometimes its noticeable.
