Really great sounding plugin, one thing to keep in mind it really has a sound to it so it does alter from the original, but most of the time is in a better way.

That Pultec tone with UAD capabilities.
I’ve used the Pultec hardware for years, one of the simplest warm tones, EQ’s that just works. The UAD Version is an amazing emulation, clean warm and smooth, very nice plugin and when comparing to few others, I seem to gravitate to UAD! It sounds very much Pultec I’m use to. Recording a bit more “in the box” these days, it’s nice to have professional level tools.

One of the Worst imitator not emulator plugin.
This was such a waste of time, most of the higher rated reviews of this plug-in was from
non-experience user's that Never worked with Studer and Ampex, Otari, Sony etc. as I have.
UAD also has the worst Customer Service, I only wished that UAD gave refunds as many Professional businesses do "Beware of UAD Policies & Practice".

I’ve purchased a bunch and tried many but this is by far the best. BUT why only 4.5 stars I was curious? Then I looked it up and some troll wrote a bunch of nonsensical reviews giving it 4 stars.

Doesn't run natively
Very disappointed by the whole UAD native/apollo mess. If you buy "API bundle", it contains native version of the preamp (as well as legacy UAD-2 plugin). But if you buy this plugin alone, it runs only on the old DSP platform and native version is not included.

Amazing product
This is my first UAD product, but it will most certainly not be my last!
The sound is so adaptable to every track that it enhances everything that I put it on.
By the far the most effective and productive plug-in that I have.
