Very versatile plug-in
I just love this one! My main use of this plug-in would definitely be on drums. You can get so many different characters on the same drum kit just by switching between the different microphones, microphone placements OR drum kit / instrument placement.
If you´re recording allot of drums and don´t have a great acoustic room to record them in, then this might be the plug-in you've been looking for.

awesome for Drummer
These really make Drummer in Logic Pro X sound awesome! Haven't tried it on much else yet. But it really shines on sampled drums.

A true must-have plug
There's not much to say: I just did a little quickie folm for a client, and the Ocean Way plug made my pre-production studio sound like a very expensive studio recording. When you can spend just a few hundred and sound like every recording cost you thousands more to produce -- that's a must-have tool.

the way to place a reverb
this plugin is incredible! you can do a lot o things until you find the best reverb you need for your mix. pretty easy to use and fast to reach a good result.

OWS - A revolutionary tool
At first I was very skeptical about this guy. I said: Ok and now what? One more room reverb... Ok, lets try it...
After some hours I realized that by using it in REVERB mode, it's simply THE BEST plugin room reverb (compared with great hardware units). It's just amazing!
But OWS it's not only this. Experiment (as much as better) REMIC mode and you will see... or better, you will hear. Great depth manipulation and instruments' separation in the mix. A revolutionary tool!

Ocean Way or the Highway!
I was looking for a reverb that was unique and easy to use for a quick demo mix. I started the 14 day demo, and never looked back. This reverb was not only a great sounding tool, but fun to tweak. That may sound weird, but it is true. Got a great deal, used a coupon. What could be better?

Ocean Way to Heavy
Let me start by saying the product is pretty cool. I use it constantly. With that said, my main system is an iMac i7 with 8 cores @ 3.4 Ghz and 32Gb Ram. 2 thunderbolts, 2 800 Firewires, running 2 - UAD-2 DUO's. I have a lot more outboards and pre's, Hot Swap TB raid's and a second system. But this is a review for the Ocean Way Studio plugin. My point - I have ample capacity. The plugin is heavy in DSP. The most efficient way to utilize the plugin is strictly on a Bus, and group your sends. You may get an audio engine failure if you use it on individual tracks. Also you may have to disable the plugin if utilized and recording other tracks, you may have latency. I own Bird Dog Records and running the systems and plugins all the time. - g

Many Things to Love
In the 6 months I've been using this plugin, it has become a staple for my drum sounds. The variety of sounds I can extract is amazing, and the simple interface is idea. It's ALMOST everything I need. I wish it has automatic gain matching for A/B'ing to more intuitively compare. Otherwise I LOVE it.

This can seriously change the sound of lower budget rooms! Makes drums and other acoustic instruments come to life! Thanks again for a great sounding product!

Incredible for Film Composing, untouchable!
I am beyond ecstatic with this plugin. I've used altiverb and vienna mir pro as well as many other "high end" convolution type reverbs but none added space like this plugin. And the re-mic is what makes this golden. Load up hollywood strings, if you have it, set mics to the "Mid" setting, so that it's rather dry but not too close, and then place ocean way studios as an insert and play around till you find what you like, it doesn't take long!!! And the thing is it creates the space you need and then if you want the larger than life sound just added some tail reverb such as EWQL spaces or similar on a bus and bring it in till you like it. Get it! There's nothing else that sounds like this.

No joke
This plug is really detailed and special. Took awhile for me to believe the hype, but after a few instances, really find it to be a game breaker. Start with overheads in re-mic and once you get the feel, use it wherever you'd like. A+

Good for reverb but..
Great on an FX return, but I find it a bit overwhelming in Re-Mic mode. It changes the sound drastically, too much so for me. There are probably mix situations where Re-Mic would be appropriate, but I haven't come across one yet. I sent a well mixed dry sampled drum kit through it and tried some Re-Mic presets, and none of the drum ones satisfied. Too roomy, even dialed back.
OTOH, in Reverb mode, it is nice; perhaps nothing a good Convolution reverb can't do with effort, but the mic & room choices make it easy to dial in a good sound. The distance knobs and multiple mic points make it way more flexible than any Convolution verb, and it sounds great.

Great space
I have a small room that sounds pretty good, but this definitely helps my drum sound get to the next level. Highly recommended for those of you who want a great sounding room.

i have ocean way drums library and i needed a plug that mixed my real hihat with my library as hybrid drums, ocean way emulate perfectly the room than i need.}

Unexpected Benefit
I read a review somewhere about this plugin, and looked forward to trying it so I could put my tracks in the famous Ocean Way sound. I loved the sound on strings, a piano, guitars and especially drums, but when I ran a poorly recorded vocal track through the plug in its "REAMP" mode I discovered the best unexpected benefit imaginable. The track, with its poor tone, came to life as it was "reamped" through Ocean Way's AKG C12. The resonance of my room, accenting certain lower mid frequencies, disappeared and the tone got sweet and silky. A useful plugin suddenly became indispensible. Love it.

One-of-a-Kind
This thing is trully unique. Whenever i need to a special space for my strings section or to process the vocal in the unusual way - it is tool that does magic.
It is not a reverb. It is SPACE and ROOMS for your instruments and sounds.

Making everything alive
The plug-in makes dead Drum machines alive (as opposed to real drummers that always die at the end)! ;-)
Also dry speaking voices finally get a great home. Dry/Wet level to 1-2% is enough in my case.
Because I use a 27 "screen it would be great if I could zoom the Plug-In for a better view. In the evening my eyes are sometimes very tired when I have to adjust things so small on the screen.
