Simple and efficient!
This is a great tool to add instant tape saturation to any source. Just insert the plugin, chose a preset that suits your audio source and from there just play with the controls. It's that easy. Sure the Ampex and the Studer are more complex and more dynamic but this little beast it's just perfect for fast workflow. Great job UA!

Sounds great
It's so easy to use and it sounds great. You don't have the flexibility of the Studer A 800 but if you just want to give your track some warmth quick and easy, this one is great!

Smooth and Deep Bass Kicks
I'm not writing this review to get a coupon or something but the Oxide tape is just amazing on the kick drums. Recently I had to EQ a track which was miked near the sound hole of a Cajon and I tried using an eq to get a nice round punchy sound but in vain. Probably I should go back to my book on EQs. Anyway I just put this tape across the track and there I was smiling " What the Fish has UAD put into these things? This was just the sound I was looking for...!!!"

Great tape saturation - easy on CPU
So satisfying to add 30+ channels of saturation on tracks and instantly have them play fatter and smoother. Even more satisfying to see that it is so easy on CPU.

Simple, straightforward, smooth and light on the processing. Useful on the master as well as adding some character to busses or instruments.

Got it for low DSP and to insert it 1st on every channel to simulate an 16 track tape recorder. Love it and reminds me of the good o'l 80's days...

"I Love the sound of tape"
This is a Great addition to my arsenal. I put it on all of my tracks and it gives it a round complete sound to it. It spreads everything out. Very warm sounding!!!! Get yours! I got mine!!!

Use it once and you're hooked.
I originally bought this Tape emulator as sort of a consolation prize since I don't have the money for the Studer 800 but I've got to say that I'm pleasantly surprised with how great it sounds. And while there might not be as many functions available as with the Studer, I'm loving the simplicity. You can still get some various tones (basically brighter or more mid-heavy) and the saturation / output combos are endless. I use it on almost everything since it has a low dsp usage. Drum buss, acoustic guitars, male vocals, etc... all of it sounds great, even without any adjustment! This has replaced compressors on a lot of my tracks since slamming the input really does the same thing but with a much more grainy, analog sound than your average comp. Totally worth the money.

Simply amazing
I love this plugin. It gels together mixes I do for post production. It's like printing your mix to a VERY good calibrated tape machine. A++++.

The warmth of analog recorder
This plugins put a nice warm color to a single track, particularly for bass sound. It has few controls, so it's easy to use, but the possibility of personalized sound are limited. Moreover it doesn't work with final mastering as other plugins do.
