Shadow hills el mejor Compresor!!!!
Excelente, supermusical, gran contenido harmonico, poderoso y discreto, lo aplico en donde sea, mastering, voces, bajo, drum buss y suena increible, altamente recomendable.

Shadow Hills Mastering Compressor
powerful compressors in one package. I can not compare with the original, but I like his work. I use mostly for mastering. Plus nostalgic green lamp on the panel is wonderful :)
Thank you UA.

A must have plugin
I have been blown away by this plugin. I love the detail you get from this compressor and you don't have to push it all that hard to see big results! I love having three transformers to pick from and in my opinion it's like having three different compressors in one. Even though it's technically a mastering plugin I've had great success with placing it on almost any stereo bus.

Excellent!
Excellent plugin. Having used the original previously (and loved it obviously) I really feel they captured the nuances and feel with this one. Using it on almost all of my masters now. Huge fan.

SHMC Sounds BIG
This thing has just parked on my two buss and will be staying for quite a while I feel : )

A shade on the real thing… but still killer.
A friend has the real deal, and I use a Shadow Hills QUAD GAMA on every recording I do, so I am familiar with the manufacturer's products. The plugin lacks much of the character that makes the hardware unit so killer, but is so friendly on DSP resources that I find myself using it a ton regardless… just not in the same way I would use the hardware unit.

Two Compressors in One?!?
Even at high ratios this is one compressor (Mastering or Not) that doesn't Dull or Round off your Transient tips. All compression on or offline does this to your music but companies like Shadowhills and others noticed this is something the future can do without. So a huge Shout to them & Universal Audio for a spot on emulation. The ability to master in different metals is genus in itself. How they made that happen over at Universal Audio is more proof when I spend my money, I get what I paid for 1000%!

Good, not great.
The SHMC didn't blow me away for its intended 2-buss / mastering use. IMHO, this is the least impressive model of the real thing in the UA catalog.
HOWEVER, I did buy it, and after using it a while now on other things, this plug is pretty good in its own right, and I'm finding it more useful to shape and color individual busses and tracks than to use across a whole mix or for mastering. Its a unique compressor, and the Trans options are great for giving different subtle textures to individual tracks.
- 1 star for not being the best emulation. - 1 star for no dig only features like control link or ability to switch the signal path order of the compressors. (I often like fast before slow) And where's Brainworx's signature MS feature??

Amazing
I love the Steel transformer setting. Just putting on the master bus adds something to the mix that you just can't get from any other plugin.

great character
This plug in is excellent and very difficult to make it sound bad from what I have heard so far. Only used it on my master so far and I'm very happy with it, it adds a nice "character" to the mix and really smooths everything out and tames the top end. I've tried from minimal amounts of compression to large amounts and so far it hasn't sounded bad when used in extreme ways. Really impressed.

TheMost Beloved plug
You have to hear it at work to truly appreciate this remarkable recreation of a must have box.
this is not a fashionable Plugin, it's no fly by night gimmick in a nice skin....this plugin is a timeless workhorse that gives back far more than it's asking price commands. I'm grateful to own this. ThanksUA.

Must pay attention to audio image
This compressor can control the audio image in an exciting way. Especially if you pay attention to to the how the threshold and gain controls are opening or closing up the image. Usually use this before or after the SSL or 33609 Compressor. Does nice things for my drums in a mix when I dial in the attack and release. Maybe a steep learning curve maybe not but worth it IMHO.

Wow! Unbelievable dynamics and a great sound!
This week I had to master a track old-skool-style very loud, but I never got this loud before without the Shadow Hills Mastering Compressor without loosing any of the energy of the track. It was just too easy to get this sound that it left me wondering where the snags are. But the artist loved it and the record company thought it was great. So.... I will be seing a lot of this compressor!

Shadow Hills Mastering Compressor Lovely!
It is truly amazing the compressor, which is unparalleled. Very good for house music, if you want to squeeze a lot of drive. Lovely this one!

Me? Love it.
I know a mastering guy that uses UAD that bought it.
I heard him use it.
I bought it.
Now I use it.
Loving the glue and unity it gives to final mixes.
Reading other reviews that say it's good on individual instruments.
Can't wait to try.
Cheers
ps I'm a massive Brainworx fan and just found out they coded this... lovely work.

Great sounding compressor
Shadow Hills Mastering Compressor really gave my mixes some real attitude. I use this across my mix bus when printing a mix. I can hear the great difference with the nickel transformer on roots reggae track . A must have for me

I love this thing.
I have been mixing analog for the past 10 years.
I recently was forced to go back into the box.
It is plugins like this one that makes it ok!
I put this on the 2bus for everything.
It's also my first choice for vocal tracking (with just the opto engaged).
