Matches the original.
I love the sound of the early digital reverbs, and specially the ones from Lexicon.
I own a Lexicon 200 Reverberation, and have compared it to the 224 plug.
Sounds good. Does not match the original though.
I use a Neve 5116 desk, and I must say, your plugs are very close to the original hardware. It´s a shame they cost as much as they do.
I´d rather buy the original hardware than buying plugs for several 100 $. They are not that good...

lexicon 224
im sorry for my english first , since when i use lexicon 224 my mixes are deeper , work with lexicon 224 uad 2 is easy and the results can be seen immediately when turn on lexicon to your tracs.

The 224 is incredible...
Awesome is an overused word but in this case it is appropriate. The verbs you can dial in with the 224 can be very versatile and dramatically different. And a big thumbs up to the Small Hall.
I really feel like my options are endless.
Another great job UA!

Most have classic emu. Works flawlessly with any EQ/comp combination I use.

Reverb Luxury
Got the 224 with the EMT 140 and 250 and after using them in a long mixing marathon I can say that my reverb arsenal its complete.
The 224 it's the luxury of the reverb plug-ins.
To get a decent reverb sound it takes 2min maximum and I save time in the mixing since I don't have to fiddle with loads of knobs to get a decent reverb sound like before.
You get depth and width from this reverb, the sound its dense.
All the programs are useful.
I never used the real hardware but the plug-in its really good.

Lexicon 224
Highly recommended, I have the Lexicon Pcm Reverb bundle but the 224 seems much warmer and fatter than the Lexicon bundle. Can't be beat especially on vocals!

You need third party peripherals to use this
First off, I didn't put much audio though this unit because of the lack of required peripherals needed to make this work. After much research, I've found the perfect piece to compliment the UAD LA-3A audio leveler plugin. The E-MART 2.5X 90mm / 5X 22mm Clip-on Clip on LED Light Lighted Tabletop Desktop Table-Top Desk Lamp Reading Magnifier Magnifying Loupe Glass. You can get it on Amazon.com now for about 30 bucks. The great thing about this magnifying glass is that it can easily clap to your table and you can swing it in front of your monitor with ease. It is perfect for making things look bigger, and thus makes a great add on to the LA-3A, allowing users to actually see the controls of the LA-3A on a modern day computer monitor.

sweet machine
I always love this classic machine i had a pair in the early 70's and that was my favorite toys at that time i hope the plug in will be the same .......thanks UA

Beast!
Love this plug! Great on drums! I cant decide if i like it on vocals tho. I feel it makes the vocals REALLY aggressive. Still ABing with 2A :/

Luscious sound
For really long luscious sounding tails you can't go wrong with this; it really is the best plug in I've found for a truly long reverb.
I've drowned vocals and guitars in this baby and the result is just so pleasing that I often find I have to remember I'm not a prog rock producer and dial it down a little. It sits in the mix with relatively little processing, exactly what I've come to want from ITB reverb.
It's now my goto reverb.

Great... but bring on the mkII!!!!
I love the LA-3a, both in hardware and software form. My only real gripe with the UA software is the teeny, tiny GUI and that I can't help but wish for a MKII version since all of the other compressors that have been updated are so much better than the original versions.
BRING ON THE MKII!!!

Awesome!
LA-3A??? Yes Yes Yes! I prefer 2A on vocals because 3a is a bit more aggressive it seems. With that said I put 3A on individual drums. Great plug!

My favorite UAD Plug-In
This is my go to reverb plug-in. It is musical, with rich and versatile spaces. For me it's paid for itself over and over again. Spot on!

Lexicon 224 What a dream!
I really dig this plugin. I love it on lead guitars, acoustic guitars and sometimes even on vocal tracks. The Lexicon 224 has it's own unique sound and really delivers in any scenario.

Classic sound ... Modern feel
While the children might not 'get it' this plugin provides that classic coloration and infinite space that made it a classic for so long. it's not the best reverb on the planet, but likt the awesome emt plate, it delivers on the UAD promise of both usability and authenticity.
