Faithful to the Original
Remember using the hardware Roland version in the late 80s & being blown away with the universes it can take you to. This thing is a great emulation and very faithful to the original. UAD knocked this out of the park.

Ah! That Tone!
Worked like magic immediately I placed it onto my vocal chain, everything just came alive. Since then it's been set as a default plugin on my console. Oh! And the presets are also awesome. Combined with the Neve 1073 and the Struder Tape plugins... 7th Heaven!

Great Plug-In
I was sceptical ... but I'm a fan of this Plug-In. It sounds as natural as a digital approach of a classic analogue Tape Echo can sound. I'm not a huge fan of the Tape old and new settings though ... In my opinion that's where the limit of digital is for «used tape» – but maybe time and some other projects will prove me wrong ...

Chorus
Excellent sounding chorus. I'll get some use out of it for sure.

So Easy
The most simple way to add instant dimension to an instrument, especially vocals.

Beautiful Sound
Absolutely love the sound of this 224. I have the UA 480 also which I think also sounds great but for my vocals when I play out live, I tend to prefer the 224. Hard to explain why/how it does what it does, but just bathes my vocals in this beautiful space without screaming "reverb!" that sits so nice in the mix. The plates are what I use, have one set at 1.8 seconds and the other at 3.4 seconds, and depending on the song, it's perfection. I can now understand why the 224 was used so much over the decades.
