Good for drum
It's work very well.
Great Compressor for making drum and bass more fat.

What a worthy addition
Being a long term UAD user and having just purchased the Sound Toys package, I found the Decimator to be a real go to for achieving that gel I'm always looking for.
Now, as for bass, I found the Sound Toys to be a bit of a failure for my tone preferences. Ok if you like bald faced rock sounds but that's not my only playground.
So I took a chance on Oxide.
It's exactly what I needed to get that burning log fatness that I really like of McCartney's Beatles bass recordings.
Coupled with the Vertigo VSC Compressor on the bass preset via Brainworx, it's a no-brainer (excuse the alliteration.)

Good for punch
I really like how the low and high frequencies start to sound a little bit more punchy.
Will use it a lot for sure

I won't bother with the whole UA plugins rock, cause we've all come to that conclusion. When I read these reviews, I want comparisons to other UA plugins. I a/b'ed all the eq's on a few different tracks/ songs and the pultec sounded the best for individual track use. I didn't even know my acoustic guitar was that lacking before. Absolutely lush and beautiful with the pultec. If you want a surgical or clean eq, try the Oxford or something else. If you want that oozing tone coloration, this is the eq. Easy to use and every combination of settings sound great. Helios is great for a similar coloration effect, and the Manley Massive Passive rocks on the master channel for adding clarity. I want the Harrison too, but this is your first buy!

Love this sound
I find this reverb has no muddiness and I love the character of its sound. I tried the relab lx480 and loved it, but in a mixing context the UAD lex224 was easier to manage, nice density, depth, warmth... if I had to choose just one reverb it would be this one!

Great Plug! Film Placement
I used the Studer plugin for a record that was in the scene of a major film (The Butler) (death of MLK scene by Fantasia Barrino) and on the sound track a few years back..... I had to make the record fit a time period. This knocked it out the park. It was so authentic that the film guys kept double checking to make sure that it wasn't a sample that needed clearance.... and the film mixers raved at how good the stems were. Thanks for helping to get that placement/engineering credit

Impressive
The proverbial optical compressor. Makes ITB mixing a total joy.The silver can be used on more source material than you can shake a stick at. Try it!

Really good for saturation
I really like this tape. It's great for adding overdrive to guitars. I really like it for that saturation. The only thing I don't like its that I cannot run many of them on my Apollo Twin Duo. I guess I'll just have to buy more processing eventually.

LA-2A Classic Leveler Collection
Getting bored of saying this now.. But.. These sound great! Never used the hardware but have used other emulations and these are next level in comparison.. 5 stars..

Lexicon 224
Absolutley love this. My new go to reverb.. Highly recommended.. 5 stars.

5 stars for the sound but...
... Big DSP consumption and it's a little expensive (thanks for the Black Friday, and the Half-Year sales ;-p ). It would be very fine to have a version with only the preamp and the hi and low pass filter for the Unison tracking.
But it sounds very good.

Splendid Product
I just purchased the API Vision Channel Strip, I used it for the first time last night on a hip hop vocal session. I have been on a trip of running the few vocals i have recorded so far on an AT 2035 ($149) through my my new Apollo 8 Quad unison preamps. Just to see what results I can get. Let me say with the API Vision i was able to dial in on a nice sweet sound for the vocals. I wish UA had something integrated so you could place a sample of the work you have done with the plugins you're reviewing. The vocals were sitting up front before they were mixed. They were shining awesome during tracking. There is everything on this strip you will need! Buy It! You won't be disappointed!

A clean, pristine channel strip
The Vision has def. become my go-to preamp when tracking. If it wasn't so DSP hungry, I'd be using it a lot more often when mixing as well. The API definitely gives a clean, sometimes even direct-like response to my vocal and guitar tracks. Would've def. been 5 stars without the big DSP footprint!

A definite must
I never did like the original 1176 on vocals, but the blue stripe works magic on vocals. I got the bundle just for the blue stripe (at $99, it's a no-brainer). Looking forward to finding uses for the other ones.

Nice set of tools
These compressor limiters are worth every penny when in a half yearly sale
