Excellent emulation
I have worked in an analog studio in the past, where I used Lexicon 480L a lot. When I got hands in Lexicon 224 plug-in I was very pleasantly surprised at the authentic sound it produces.

Beautiful sound
Beautiful sound, crystal clear top and good reproduction in the bottom register, API Vision Channel Strip is also very musical.

The Best
This plugin is simply awesome. No other words to describe it. Thank you Universal audio.

Wow! That's awesome!
Best 1176 sounding software compressor collection! Full of character and veeery versatile.

First things first...
I add Studer as the first plug in on every track, and I mean every. About half the time, I use an appropriate preset, the other half I leave at default with maybe a few tweaks. It really removes the brittle digital feel that I sometimes hear on my tracks. While subtle, it's real. It's by far my most used plug.

Great sound! Great Results! Simply the Best!
No doubts - THE BEST SOUNDING! emulation of original 1176 hardware. I use it on any kind of acoustic instruments and i like very much the quality of the sound!

Beautiful!
What can I say that hasn't already been said? The LA-2A collection is digital with heart and soul, these sound gorgeous on just about anything you can throw at them. Demo them right now if you haven't already and see what all the fuss is about.

The Lexicon 224 Digital Reverb AAX plugin
Well what can I say, this plugin works really well. It is such a nice soft reverb for vocals.
you can use a fair bit which just softens any vocal track. It is very easy to use and the best reverb I have.An excellent reproduction of the actual hardware. Well done UA

Cool Reverb
I really like the sound of this reverb, and it's capable of creating some great atmospheric sounds and fx.

Seems good
I haven't had a chance to delve into this plugin too deeply, but so far it sounds good and adds a nice tape sound. Low cpu means you can use it on individual tracks.

What can I said...
I don't think any one needs some recommendations on this plugin... It just make music sound better!!! I use it all the time and it helps me to create really good separation on my mixes. is amazing on acoustic guitar and drums!

Awesome!!!
Awesome channel strip, works great with Unison Technology and ready to use while tracking, mixing etc. This tool does not only offer great sound but it is a one-plugin-solution while tracking concerning the included EQ and compressor besides its colour.

1176 review..
This surprised me by how good it was,
It's the first 1176 plugin I have used that sounded like I think a real 1176 sounds.
Which was handy because it always seemed like a bit of a waste of effort to me making a front end for an 1176 plugin if it didn't sound like an 1176.

I Love it
The first thing i did with my new API channel strip was recording an acoustic guitar set via UNISON. At once I achieved the best acoustic guitar recordings ever. Like good old times: Recording with little compression (the compressor is awesome) and some frequency enhancements provides analogue magic to your recordings.

Fantastic Emulation
Having used the originals in the 80's I can truly say that this plug-in captures the full LA-2A vibe, right down to the distortion when its pushed hard.
Take this, the 1071 input, and maybe the 1081 eq and strap them in the console app and you won't be disappointed.
Fantastic on vocals or really any full-range source.

A Workhorse
I cannot say enough good things about this emulation of the API Vision strip. For the price you cannot go wrong with all that it has to offer.
I especially recommend the comp and eq for anything guitar!

Excellent Emulation
Having used the original back in the 80's I must say that this plug-in captures the bright-crispy sound of the original very closely! My first test was to recreate that classic 80's snare verb with the gated effect and it did not disappoint.
This is a great "go to" reverb and a must for rock snare and piano. Great job all around and I would recommend to all.

This is the must-have channel strip.
I've always considered plugins to be convenient but not as natural as outboard gear. This plugin changes everything. If I'm going with gentle eq and compression, I have no worries about pushing this plugin to the DAW track as it's recorded. It sounds absolutely incredible on drums on vocals. I have yet to try it on guitar but I expect great results there too. Zero disappointment and, if you had to buy only one UAD plugin, this is it.

1176: The essential compressor
I just had to take a moment to say how great the UA 1176 compressor collection is. As soon as I tried the demo, I was hooked and bought it the same day. The UA 1176 adds character and loudness without making things sound compressed, and it's become part of my go to vocal chain along with the LA-2A. Just a touch of the 1176 to catch the peaks, and the LA-2A to even things out and add a glow, and you're golden! Superb!

LA-2A collection review
I've been using the LA2A collection for nearly a year now I believe and have really implemented it as part of my main dynamic control tools.
Favorite applications:
1. Leave vocals - 1176 with slow attack, fast release followed by the LA2A grey getting about 2-3 db of compression on the high spots.
2. Drum Overheads - tames harsh cymbals and pulls everything in together.
3. Bass - Typically with bass, Ill stack the LA2A first and get maybe 2-3 db on the high spots, then add another compressor (often 1176) behind the LA2A to give a slightly more constant compression.
I typically prefer the Grey and Silver models, but each has its own vibe Also really love the emphasis control. This is a MUST when used on vocals.
Loving these comps
