Amazing sounds!
Such a simple but beautiful interface and really intuitive to use. It’s so easy to get great sounding leads and basses - my new favourite synth!

PolyMAX was a great surprise. It has a unique sound quality, is effortless to use, and does not get in the way of the creativity flow. It is slowly becoming my go-to synth for all the pads, leads, and synth basses.

User interface is not fully visible
The user interface is not fully visible, which unfortunately means that some parameters cannot be adjusted. Until this problem is corrected, the synth is unusable.

Piano with soul!
I don't understand the hate for this product.
For me as a pianist and producer, this is one of the best VST instruments.
Yes, there are not many settings in it! Yes, this is minimalism.
Sometimes it seems to me that people are lazy and want everything to be ready "as if by magic". At the same time, they do not want to set up their own unique sound. Literally 50+ years ago, it took days to get the sound you want!
RAVEL sounds like a real Steinway that I've been playing for a very long time!
If you want to add cinematic and atmosphere - plugins to help you.
It's a raw instrument that can make a great track.

Best Rotary Speaker insite my Mac Pro.
A very well made rotary speaker, if not the best. Unfortunately very difficult to lug around, which fortunately is not noticeable in the plug-in version. Awesome and thank you.

The interface is simple yet so powerful, great sounding synth, I always find myself using it in every single production since purchase.

I love this especially in console for my Hi-Z guitar input. Allows me to easily practice guitar with a pleasing tone without even opening my DAW!

I do not own a mini Moog but
While I do not own an actual mini Moog and never even played one (I am not a keyboardist) I have to think that this is very close to the original.
While I haven't played an actual mini moog I do own two different moog synthesizers as well as several other 'models'. This is by far the fattest sounding mini Moog I have heard. It's almost as fat as my actual Moogs.
This is one of my favorite UAD plugins and I own many!
I don't use MIDI so I understand the complaints but since I don't use MIDI other than connecting my MIDI NI keyboard (which loads perfectly) I can't speak to anything else on that

It's good not great
I LOVE a good delay and the more words it gets the more I love it. I'm all fairness, in part I am reviewing the unit itself as well as UAD profile of the unit.
As far as the unit itself (software), it's limiting. There aren't as many tonal options as I had hoped for. THIS HAS NOT ANYTHING TO DO WITH UAD , But I felt important to share that point. I have used a Binson in the past, so I know what it is supposed to sound like and given that I will say that UAD did a great job with emulating it.
I do wish UAD would add functionalities that are not available on the original units. This goes for any plugin. They are great for one-to-one recreations. Maybe the best at doing that! It would be nice to have more options such as longer delays morphing etc.
This is just me, I don't speak for everyone I realize that.
I personally felt it important to point out.
With that said another great creation by UAD!

Great recreation of a classic
Love this, it’s moog gritty and vintage warm with a ton of tone shaping possibilities true to the real instruments. These guys are taking the anxiety out of needing the real thing but not being able to afford the real thing. This gets you practically all the way there for a couple hundred bucks, less when the sales roll around. Grab it and have it in the library, it won’t make a fool of you or your pocket. Super fun to use.

Is it good?
I bought this on the back of seeing how it stacks up to other 3rd party electric pianos which I own and love and I have to say, true to form, UA really do a faithful job here. The sound is really nice and warm, the tone shaping that you can do by yourself is really vast and there are a load of great user presets also that can accomodate any style you're playing to or you can tweak them to best suit your needs. I really love the plugin and I’m super happy I went in for it, it will be used on everything I do that needs Rhodes which is most of my work.

Mildly Visually Impaired? Not for you!
The synth sounds amazing.
However, I have to reduce the accessibility text scaling on my entire machine down to 100% in order for the full user interface to show. Otherwise only part of the interface is visible with no way to expand it. The "resize plugin" feature does nothing, it only makes the 3/4ths of the interface that is visible larger. The fix was easy enough to find (another plus, I guess), but UAD... did it ever occur to you that people had the text scaling set above 100 for a reason? I have far too many plugins and this is literally the only one that requires me to change an accessibility setting making the text smaller across the entire machine just to show the full interface. As it is, I can only select presets and tweak 3/4ths of the settings. Sad.
I really do wish I could use this plugin, but I'm not making my entire machine harder to use just to do it. I'm glad I got it for free.
