Way too roomy
This piano is way too roomy to be useful for any project.

This is now my go-to Rhodes and I don't see using anything else any time soon.
Just incredible. I guess if I took a long enough time I could come up with something to use a negative bullet point, but it's not worth it. If you are looking for any suitcase keyboard-type sound, you should try this one first because if you can't get the sound you are looking for with this, something must be wrong.

as a plate reverb junkie…
this sounds shockingly great for being a more scaled down version. even if you have other things, get this one.

faithful and lovely
been vibing with this and it just sounds really dreamy and large.

Just the best Rhodes
At my opinion, just the best emulation ever. Also it's so versatile with the different amps, pedals and studio gear included. Easy to use and... the best thing is the sound !!!

Great sound, terrible software manager (UA Connect)
I love the plugin itself, really awesome sound, unfortunately I had a nightmare with UA Connect, I don't understand why a software manager is require if we're using iLok. UA Connect should be optional

Fabulous
This machine is an absolute bomb compared to the Arturia I'm using actually
It's , difficult to transcribe the emotion felt under the fingers and between the ears.
tested under Reaper in my dedicated home studio, on PC win Akai MPK 88 -apollo twin->soundId-->Focal alpha 80
the presets are extremely well chosen to feel immediately the palette of the machine.
there is a sublime dynamic which allows the smoothness and the big to very big sound under the pressure of the fingers, and there we feel all powerful
The richness in the details is fabulous

Water The F!!
This review is not about the sounds , which are excellent.
So, UA build a great B3, with a decent Leslie emulator. Bought that, works great. But you can’t feed it an external source. Then they build a standalone Leslie emulator (that’s probably better than the B3 version) that takes external feeds, but won’t work in Console - so bye bye live latency free tracking or performance with guitar.
Tried midi controlling the rotor speed? I have. It’s DOA. After an electric piano on an instrument track in PT, for example, the midi input feeds the piano, but the mod wheel does nothing. If your midi keyboard is controlling an instrument it can’t also control the rotor. Dumb.
It’s as if UA has gone out of their way to extract as much profit as possible from a single simulation…but not even done that properly.
PLEASE
1. Include the Leslie, with external input, in the B3 which loads of us use all the time.
2. Port it to use through Console
3. Sort out the midi implementation
4. Stop rinsing us.

Velocity?
If the playability had equaled the sounds I’d give it five stars, and buy it.
Despite the deal UAD are offering right now on this instrument I’ll be saving my money.
Very abrupt step between medium and full velocities makes it a twitchy ride. Hard to predict which notes of the chord will voice mellow and which will bark.
The sounds, amps and outboard work well but if you’ve ever played a Rhodes, you’ll be very puzzled indeed.

Amazing
The first emulation that, to my understanding, really transports all the feels of the original. Congratulations UA

Simple but very effective
If you know how to use a tape, it will serve you well.
Controls straight to the point and very simple to use. Whether it's the first in the chain or the last, it sounds very beautiful!

A Leslie for the Ages!
A truly great Leslie simulator. I just used it on a shaker for a track and the rotary was perfectly timed to the tempo and gave the breakdown a really cool swirly vibe that everyone was freaking out to just how cool it was. Thanks to UA for making me sound better than I am!

Different flavours, all rather good
I've never had the pleasure to work with a real LA-2A, so my only experience is with plugins and I've been an avid user of other developers LA-2As for many years and have a small collection of them, so although a friend had waxed lyrical about these UAD versions, I was sure I had all I needed and I was very happy with what I had. So why did I bother to take these for a test run? I obviously needed to find out for myself that these variations are well worth using within my work and add a wee sprinkle of magic which is a slightly different kind of magic from the others I already own. Such a simple compressor to use, yet such wonderful results as long as you don't push too hard. Despite now being poorer financially, I'm happy to say these variations are finding their way into my work on a regular basis along with my other favourite compressor the U73. My only bugbear with the LA-2A and U73 is the release times may not suit the track rhythmically, so adding an ability to change the release times would be wonderful, although I'm aware that this would be taking it away from its origins, but we've moved on from horse and carts, so..? Regards these particular LA-2A, I'm not a fan of the gain being turned up as default (I'm not a fan of any plugin having its gain set higher than unity as a default) and, unless I've missed something, being unable to type in figures for the controls, or even see any figures, is disappointing. Yes, I want to use my ears while adjusting, but if I want to make very small adjustments it is a lot easier to adjust by inputting numbers.
