Awesome swirlyness!
An incredibly faithful recreation of a classic! The ability to fine tune the way you hear the Lesley is alone enough to purchase this wonderful plugin and then add the classic sounds to your pallet? What have you got to lose ? Especially at this price!

Reverse is added texture
I was running a VSL imperial on a project I’m working on but swapped it out with Ravel to compare the textures. Suffice to say this is now a perm fixture in my template! Try it you will buy it!

Classic smooth and deep filter sweeps
Once I worked out how to run the plug-in ProTools natively it was a breeze. Classic!

Easy architecture, but not much new?
It's ok, but wait for a sale. This brings wavetables to a "moog style" programming interface and has a slightly interesting filter model on top. It misses out on some usability by not having a single button to turn off the effects, and could use more interesting filter types and more aggressive sound design options. For another take on simple, maybe look at Thorn, but everything here is executed pretty well, but doesn't take me easily into new sonic territory. Does seem to be pretty automation friendly in the DAW, but could also use much more modulation in the synth itself.

Opal is synth that you want to tweak
Amazingly sounding 3 analog oscillator/wavetable beast with polyphony, broad filter options, extensive modulation and build in effect. I love it!

THE REAL THING
The 1176 and the LA-2A are like Peanut Butter & Jelly. You can't have one without the other. And the 1176 collection is industry standard, as in, it is in every single studio on this planet and you can bet on it. And you know what else? an LA-2A haha.
M. Bernabel
BEST LA-2A OUT THERE
Why touch other emulations when you can have this? If you still don't have this collection then you are behind.

You Made Me Buy It
UA, you made me buy this by resetting my demo. When I finally got to try it, I wasn't expecting much since I already have lots of good piano sounds. But there is something about this one... it has a heft and weight to it that just feels substantial. It's that same UA ineffable quality that makes me buy their products -- there's just a "feel" to it that others don't have. I spent almost an hour doing an A/B with 6 other high end piano sounds, trying to talk myself out of it.
The bottom line for me is that this instrument is very playable. Anything that feels more like play and less like work is worth it. And it sits in the mix nicely. In a dense mix, I have to do a high pass filter on it, otherwise it will take up too much space. But it's always better to subtract than to add something that's not there!
I always thought the UA instruments were a novelty, but this is going to be a workhorse for me.

Wonderful sounds. Better then Garage Band instrument.
I really enjoyed garage band Hammond B3 organ. The waterfall B3 organ is better. More versatile and realistic. Love it!

A really nice Improvement from legacy, sounds so close to my analog unit, perfect.

amazing giant minimoog
Although I've never used a real instrument, it's a blessing for a new generation of young people to be able to learn how to use the same instrument in this way. Thank you so much for making bloody good quality. i look forward to continuous updates and adjustments.

The best
The best emulation of the 1176 so far. Transistors are well modelled and very close to the original sound.

The best
This is the best emulation I ever had of the 1176. The modelling of the transistor is outstanding.

No tricks pony.
I have tried to use RAVEL on my newest projects but every time I compare it with Keyscape and I end up using Keyscape instead. The reason is that I think RAVEL lacks body and a dry focused sound. Even the driest setting is too wet. I really want to use it on a project, but it just doesn't sound very good in the mix. Too roomy, muddy, and harsh.
I produce mostly pop/rock.
I am still looking for that one trick (at least) for this new pony.
