Latency
Latency in the plugin when I record artist. Not sure why. Even afterwards when I'm mixing its still late. I have it on my vocal channel in ProTools

Too Small, Not Resizeable
I was stoked to get this compressor, but I found the display to be incredibly small as soon as I tried putting it on a track. It's small enough to make using it frustrating. I'm using a 2018 macbook pro 15" running Catalina. My vision is not an issue as I'm in my early 20's and my sight is far above average. If UA can or has fixed this issue, I'll happily update my review. This is not a review of the accuracy of UA's LA-3A Plugin, but about the user experience. I love my Apollo, Cheers!

Wow vocals
Didn’t think I’d ever be replacing that 1073 unison tech, but alas. Voxbox sounds so good on vocals. I usually find a preset closest to what I need and then tweak from there based on room/mic/singer. Love that it’s a one-stop shop with the compressor and de-Ess baked in. If you demo this you’re going to ruin your life knowing you have to buy after.

Capital Chambers you're the only one for me. My voice wants to marry you.
Typically I feel the need to justify purchasing a plugin. Not so much with Capital Chambers. It sounds good... really, really good. My vocals want to marry Capital Chambers and live happily ever after.

Great for DI tracks
Even though I love the Apollo pres, I've never felt like they got my DI bass or guitar tracks (even with the UAD amp sims, which are AMAZING) to sound how I thought they should sound. This plugin gets them there. Simple, beautiful-sounding plugin.

My go to for guitars
I used the hardware for both electric and acoustic guitar, surprise surprise the plugin works a lot better with nearly an infinite amount of them. This should be one of your first buys when jumping on the platform.

Just... Wow...
Honestly, I know this sounds a bit over-enthusiastic, but this collection is THE TOOL for bringing clarity, feeling and depth to mixes. I now have the EQP-1a as the last plugin on every channel in my mix sessions - it just gives that final sparkle with the high filter and tightness with the low. It's amazing for bringing out the best in acoustic instruments; makes drums feel 'real'; adds some well needed character to synths, VSTis and samples; and if you put it on your master bus you'll be asking your mastering engineer for a discount.
If I could start over, I'd have bought this selection with my first UAD device. It's an essential tool.

Works Perfectly
I had a lot years with the hardware and I can say this is pretty damn close. Love the way you can push it. My only crack on it is the interface is so damn small for my old eyes. Glad there isn't much going on.

I thought for a long time whether to buy ravel, when uad offered a discount, I bought it did not even try the demo version. I was a little upset because of the midrange sounding, there is no fullness in the lower register. there are still bugs when pressing chords, clicks and sound dropouts. Arturia with her duties in underwear is head and shoulders but the middle and high plastic ones. I hope the developers improve Ravel

VINTAGE TAPE VIBE
I am producing a musical play set in the 1960s and am using UAD plugins emulating the gear of those days. Everything sounded fine but there was something missing. I tried using the Ampex ATR-102 on the 2 bus but that tape machine came out in the late 70s and was brighter then I needed to my ears. When I tried the Studer everything suddenly made sense. Bought it straight away.
