Desert island plugins!
The UA 1176 collection sounds great...on everything! I picked these up in the UAD Tuesday promotion and they've swiftly replaced my previous go-to 1176 emulations. The 1176AE is great with the added feature of the SLO attack setting which gives an extra clarity when used on a vocal bus. I use these on vocals, drums, bass. Desert island plugins for sure.

Studio quality chorus and great for adding width!
This is a brilliant sounding plugin. I use it on clean/overdrive guitars to add depth. I also use this on an all vocals bus and automate it to add width to different sections within a song. I figured if it works for Michael Brauer, it'd work for me! I wasn't wrong.

Can't live without this plugin!
I recently picked up the native UA Pultec collection in the recent UAD Tuesday promotion. Up until then, I had been using a well known Pultec emulation from another company who permanently have their plugins on sale! I decided to go for the UA Pultec whilst on offer and....WOW!!! This is like a breath of fresh low and high air has been injected into my mix bus and template! It sounds truly great - Thank you UA

One and only
At the moment, various manufacturers are selling Moog emulations, but nothing can beat this for the warmth and thickness of the sound that is unique to analog.

Body, tone, and depth
Just the right sound for me. I have bounced around lots of emulations of this passive eq but this right here does it for me… hands down

I'll be totally honest. I always thought the UAD hype was just that. Hype! Im a hardware guy. So I figured Im sure they had good emulations of hardware but couldn't be that much better than others I have! Maybe different, but not necessarily better. Well I was wrong...lol! The UAD plug-ins are the only plug-ins that consistantly keep the 3-D sonic quality of a raw track where others companies fail. I still will take quality hardware any day over any plug-ins. But when I do use plug-ins UAD are definitely the best option!

Native only?!?
I spent thousands of dollars on my rig just so that this company can abandon me with the release of plugins like this?! Unbelievable. I won’t be continuing on with UA products unless this is fixed.

This really is the best Pultec plugin
This really is the best Pultec plugin, an absolute joy to use (unlike most others). Put it on a track, twist the knobs and it just sounds right. Just for grins I ran it thru a battery of tests to check aliasing, harmonics, curve shapes, etc. and its exactly as expected. Very high quality all the way. Unfortunately the same cannot be said for the license enforcement mechanism (not specific to this plugin, but affects them all). I have to manually shut down UAConnect.exe and its children processes and restart them via UA Connect and re-activate my licenses most every time I use a UAD plugin and then close DAW and reopen it. Doesn't matter which host. Not good. But I would assume this gets fixed at some point and should not affect someone's decision to buy this fantastic plugin.

Without a doubt, the best Pultec modeling! I have worked countless times with the real models, and I can assure you that the UAD Pultec series is absolutely accurate!

Very Musical
Sometimes grabbing this over fabfilter pro q 3 happens because this is more inspiring. I can sometimes get results that I wouldn’t have attempted with another eq.

Quite amazing sound, but...
I have both Waterfall and the IK Multimedia T-RackS Leslie plug ins. They both sound pretty damn good. Waterfall has the edge. There is some kind of undefinable element to the sound that puts it over the top of the IK Plugin. It really sounds great! I do like that the IK offers stereo miking on the drum, whereas the UAD plug in only offers mono miking for the low frequencies. I wish it were Compatible with Apollo and the UAD cards, as it by far my most resource hungry plug in. Digital Performer has a meter which shows how hard all of your loaded plug ins are hitting your computer's processor. Waterfall is #1. Worse than any reverbs. A lot of that may be due to the stellar graphics. Very cool to watch! Now, if they could only cram it into a pedal...

Nice sound, but .....
Shame about the Native Only version. This tells me one thing about UAD, they're probably going to dump their hardware DSPs in the not too distant future. Since many like myself have invested in these DSP hardware units, there will probably be a lot of very unhappy people, including myself. If I want CPU heavy native plugins which sound great, I can think of other competitors who make better sounding plugins than UAD. But the only way to use those in real time is to freeze the tracks. The reason I got the DSP boxes was so that I can run plugins in real time, just like hardware and adjust them as I mix. Why did I bother ?......
