Not perfect but very good
Easy to install and get a good sound, very configurable etc. For me at least however (and at least one other reviewer I can see) the speed control/mod wheel link doesn't seem to work with my controller.

Unstable on Logic in low latency mode/latch mode
Sounds pretty good but the main thing i want to use it for is creative feedback riding, where you slow the delay time down and automate it.
Unfortunately in Ventura on Logic (and for a few years) Galaxy Tape Echo constantly crashes and resets if you move any paramaters in low latency mode. Just stutters and stops, or makes clicks and pops.
Universal Audio support have been less than helpful with support issues in the past too.

Excellent Reggae B3 Organ Sound
I used to create the Organ bubble for a Reggae track, it was nice that it had a reggae pre-set that I could tweak minimally to get what I was looking for. Wort h the small price tag.

Get Pianoteq instead
Or maybe Keyscape if you can afford it (I e never tried it but it must be good at that price and it gets high ratings. Pianoteq is far better value for pianists - much more versatile and basically sounds better. Try both demos and you’ll agree. Ravel will appeal to the cinematic folk but not pianists. But as I say it is too expensive - ok at sale price though.

Surprisingly Faithful to the hardware
I have had the hardware 737 for many years in the studio. For those considering the hardware unit save your money, A/B this plugin and the difference to my ears anyways is so marginal that I recently just sold mine and leaning towards moving to in the box mixing and recording.

Tracking magic
This is the greatest channel strip for tracking. Put it in the unison spot (or not if you don’t want to commit). The gentle compression will sound transparent but stop overload and the tube harmonics are beautiful. Vocals, bass and acoustic guitar seriously shine.

Wonderful and versatile
This is a great compressor. It can be used very effectively on any source material. Drums (oh yeah) vocals (definitely) bass, guitar, synth etc. it’s like a fully customizable 1176 and la2a in one box. Bottom line it sounds fantastic.

Vocal Pre-amplification
Simple to use. I used it mostly for the pre-amp for vocal takes. It does wonderful on BVGs. Nice tube warmth up front.

Wonderfull plugin (UAD-2 is not a thing anymore)
Did demo the Plugin and liked it although it could have used some modern features and a more readable interface. We all know UA does not care about readable interfaces (customers begging for the resizeable GUI for a decade almost. UA also don't bother to make a UAD-2 version and don't want to disclose anything about the intentions of keeping AUD-2 alive. It's horrible to read all these people asking for the same. Why is UADx up to date and does UAD-2 feel abandoned.

Very good piano, the timbre is excellent; only problem is that the license only releases online.

confusion of it all
I would love to buy this but I gotta tell you man the process of what runs on what and why has really slowed my purchasing of UAD plug ins. I just used to buy a plug-in and it worked on my system now with all the varieties and subscription plans etc. it's just way to complicated. 5 Years ago this would already be in my cart.

Versatile plugin
It comes with Spark which is perhaps better value. A great product where I got fast results without too much faffing about.

Irritating iLok cloud system
I really want to like this synth but although it worked whilst the trial version was still valid, the moment that expired it tells me I don't have a license even though I bought it and activated the license in iLok. It won't put the license on my computer, only in the iLok cloud. The same with PolyMax. Bought it, now can't use it and I have contacted UAD twice via their support page and have yet to receive a reply which has now been over a week. If I don't hear anything soon I shall be demanding a refund for both products....

The King Of All Pultecs
My first encounter with UAD plugins now that they are native and OMG, they do not disappoint. So pleased they have had a sale and made them affordable for me. This Pultec blows every other I own out of the water, so much so I have uninstalled the rest. Don't need them now I have the best.
