Great plugin but....
This is a great plugin, but if you have a uad-2 duo like me forget!! This plugin use many dsp resources of you card. I suggest you buy Ampex 102, great plugin no use dap like A800. Expend my money for nothing. But great plugin if you have system to use.

Quality of my latest Mix have increased due to Studer A800
Hi there,
Since my recent buy of Studer A800, plus a strategic change in my way of mixing. As you can listen from my artist page (www.indabamusic.com/people/Mimidhof). My two latest Remix Submission were done using Studer A800 on every track.
I'm owner of a simple DSP Duo core.. so I hesitate because of the price of the plugin and also because of using it in every track would fast let me without any DSP resource.
But I'm very glad of the result over all on the Drum track and the bass sound they are easyer to fit in my mixes. And I just begin to use it.
For my setup with little DSP ressources, for this plugin I took the decision to use it as an offline process, when I begin a new mix I process all my track with Studer A800.

This is pretty close to the real thing. Very easy to manipulate and sounds great! Definitely my first option when wanting to add an extra dimension to recordings.

A blast from the past!
This verb has all the feel of the hardware. I've used this many times and wish I had it in my studio and NOW I DO! This really has a good sound look and vibe to it. I cant say that I'll ever use the Lexicon plugin again after using this 224. UA did it better then the maker of the unit!

OK, now I get it.....
I have never had the luxury of using a real 1176 and have only played with a few 1176-like plug-ins but not a true emulation as several vendors claim to have. I recently upgraded to an Apollo Quad from a much simpler interface, and this was my chance to really put an 1176 plug to use. I started with the older 1176 plugs that came with the Apollo and I liked them, easy to get something you want. I jumped on the 1176 collection and was completely blown away. As a newbie I was not really sure I'd appreciate the differences between the different models. All I can say is, to all those kind folks that teach the craft of music engineering who swear by the 1176 as the desert island compressor, thanks, now I get it.

Man, I just love this collection, can't mix without an La2a on bass and in my vocal chain, plus I have converted many mixers to UAD plugs based on my mixes with La2a.

I was a big fan of the Waves CLA plugin. And then I bought this. All 3 are killer, and decidedly different from each other. Well done!

I have been playing music for over 40years and have been in recording for over 30years and I must confess that UAD has the best of all plugins. I play professionally, the piano, the Bass, the guitar, drums, sax, flute and all percussion.
How sweet the sound that saved my mixes. What a great buy and an indispensable
Plugin that makes everything sound like heaven, I will not be able to record with them. These are truly the music limiters that brings in every loose part and unites them together without damaging the mix. Thank you UAD family once more for a great plugin that works wonders.

What is this technology?
Compared to other emulations, this new UA 1176 collection is hardware. Other companies emulations, including Ua's old 1176n sound like gain staging when stacked up against these 3 beasts! A channel strip with the Trident A Range and any one of the 1176 Collection sounds enormous. I'm blown away....

Anybody willing to give you a two week trial of there products must feel that the products are good !!!!
I have found with all the plugins from this company I have bought are excellent.
I have worked with some of the real products like 1176 , lexicons and studers and truly like the universal audio plugins. Thanks very much

Such a beast!
Throwing this on first in the chain has saved so much tweaking... it just sounds right and fat out of the gate. Be cautious with the presets if using on your master bus, noise / hiss controls are hidden under the additional controls.
