average-
sound quality: nothing to write home about
features: lacking DSP version when it should be a must to track your guitar
price: discounted, ok. full price, too expensive.
overall impression: average-
might change my review to 3 stars if they add real time tracking with DSP.

Great flexibility and good sounding reverb
Reverb easy to tailor to fit the track or bus depending on the source. Great flexibility of intervention due to the parameters. Another bullseye from UA!

Sounds great - GUI needs work
Having used the Lexicon 22XL back in the 1980's and 1990's I can say that the sound of the UADx 224 plugin is so close I am no sure that there are very many people that could tell the difference between the plugin and a hardware unit. So very good job on getting the sonic characteristics right.
In my DAW I had been using three different reverb plugin to get the sound I was looking for so often. I bought the Universal Audio 224 plugin, and opened my current project and the 224 plugin replaced the other 3 reverbs. No Problem, the sound is superb.
However I have been unable to get the GUI to work properly, I get the Left half of the GUI and the right half is missing, simply not showing up at all. So to access all the parameters I have to drop to a generic mode and type in the settings I want to use. It works, but more time consuming. I have been going back and forth with Universal Audio Tech Support (nice folks there) and have tried everything they recommended and still the issue persists.
I am running an Windows 10 machine and an AMD platform. But the issue exists in Studio One, Reaper, Ableton Live, and Harrison Mixbus32C which is my primary DAW for mixdowns. So I can't blame the DAW. Tried the Windows setting but that also had no affect. So to date the problem remains unresolved.
That said, the sound is worth it.

Simply the best!
Ive tried many La2a plugins (CLA2A, Softube, Black Rooster, IK Multimedia, Slate etc) & nothing compares this collection. My search for a La2a vst is finally over!

Good upgrade
I think this one Is a really good upgrade from the Legacy version in terms of sound. I use It quite a lot.
I think it's time for some resizing options tho.

very nice
I checked out BlackBird Studios Nashville a week ago and liked it a lot.
They have the original plugins, they're still in use. But I have to say after that experience I appreciate UAudio much more. Cause I know they are good. And Fairchild Legacy is my favourite. It sounds like nothing else, thank you Uaudio, Erron Rose!!

Does everything I need, but hit a few bumps in the beginning...
I've owned this for about 3 weeks, and let me tell you JUST GET IT. I had some issues getting used to iLok at first, but just register it to the iLok Cloud (or an iLok USB if you have one) and start a session before you open your DAW to use it, because it will give you the demo version until you restart it with an iLok Cloud session on (or with the registered iLok USB plugged in).

My go to
This with the neve is the safest way to create a great sound. I use the silver for almost every song.

Love it

Electric Piano for Dreamy Flow
An electric piano with a dreamy flow. I've been looking for this electric piano for a long time, a version with such a dreamlike flow, finally there is this piano. I love it so much because I can finally do what I want with it. It puts me in a realm where I can access effects instantly and tweak the sound I need.

Disappointed
For the first time I have to make a bad review of a UA product. I don’t understand what happened here, this piano doesn’t feel natural, it’s sounds cheap, poor, weak, thin and roomy. I have many vst pianos and this one is the worst by far, totally unusable for me.
I have to say that I really like the GUI, is very simple and quick to set, only lacks a velocity curve adjustment (like the Electra, witch is awesome).
It’s a shame that the Ravel sounds so bad. I own every virtual instrument from UA and they’re great. I hope UAD take note about this and fix it.

Best in the Market
Adds warmth even before tweaking the knobs on 1st loading, the supreme additions in tone are supe classic and really isn't found in other rival companies' emulations who claim them to be the closest clone of the actual hardware. Hats off to UAD
