Great compressor!
A really nice and fast compressor! I have not tried the hardware so I cannot compare, but it stands out from most other plug-ins I have tried. Very versatile and adds mojo!

Lovely vibe
Not only works on organs, but great for guitars and sometimes on vocals too.
I've used it the next minute I bought it
Can't wait to see what new plugins you add

UAD 1176 impression
I worked for years with the 1176 hardware and the plugins sound as good as the HW to me. Very cool!

Premium sound but could use a bit of polish.
First thing you notice when you start playing with Opal is how high quality the sound is. All of it. The oscillators, filters, effects, they’re all top notch. Nothing to complain about.
That said, it’s lacking some modern features that put it a step down from software instruments like Serum. No MPE support, no polyphonic aftertouch support. The interface is clunky and seems to have you clicking through tabs when a simple right-click assignment would be better. Double clicking doesn’t reset par. It looks good, but needs some UX love. No way to use oscillators to modulate the filter.
So, it was an instant buy for me, because few software instruments get distortion right, and Opal nails it. I just wish they’d add a few basic functions that are common in their competition.

still great
One of the first plugins many years ago that made it clear...technology has come a long way. It is a must have for any modern rig/studio.

Il top delle emulazioni
Se state cercando delle emulazioni fedeli all'1176 questi fanno al caso vostro. Sono impareggiabili e li stra-utilizzo. Consigliatissimi

simple and straight forward
gives a nice metallic taste that many plate emulations lack. very simple controls with all you need to dial in the sound you are looking for. thanks again to UA for going native with individual perpetual licenses.
cheers

very nice work UA
of all the 76 emulations i have tried (and i have tried the lot) this gives a slightly wider soundstage and is mid forward and can bring anything to the front of a mix if need be. of course it works exceptionally well for smashing in parallel also. thank you UA for going native with single perpetual licenses. keep adding more product to the list.
cheers

Great comp!
Combined with the LA-2A, you can't go wrong!

It wold be great if UA would allow me access to this plugin since I purchased it on 3/15.
It wold be great if UA would allow me access to this plugin since I purchased it on 3/15. It's borderline criminal that I pay for a plugin, and it doesn't give me access on my Apollo. What's the deal? UNREAL!

Gorgeous sounding organ
Complete with the preset keys on the far left of each keyboard, this is exactly what I've been hoping for since hearing Brain Auger and The Oblivion Express a few years ago. WAAAY cheaper than buying an actual B3, I can use my own keyboard like the OG now! Goes really well with an audio field widener as a second plugin, just saying, but the Leslie box microphone placement options are a hidden delight. Love your work!
