Distressor
Didn’t realize what I was missing. Great add to the arsenal.

Great Compressor
Amazing
J. Love
No surprises here.
The Distressor is all it's cracked up to be and a welcome addition to the tool box. It has met all my expectations.

Distressor one of the best
This is one of the best plugin out there
J. Mengis
Like using your pencil as hard as you can.
I barely touch it. I put it on the drum room mic and walk away. I have and love the empirical labs suite from softube and I absolutely love it. I was having a hard time justifying buying the distress or because I figured I could make the e-comp do what the distressor does. I took advantage of the sale and I’m happy I did. I am now happy using both and not becoming frustrated with my E comp for not being a distressor.

Great Compressors
Haven’t heard all the other emulations out there, but know these are good sounding ones. Use these when recording vocals along with Avalon plugin and LA2A. Good options and sounds great.

Sounds great
Use it when recording vocals to compress about 3db and it works and sounds great. Great clean vocal sound.

Pure Plate Reverb
Use this in the headphone mix, but don’t record to the track. It helps me to do better vocal takes. I’ve proven that by listening back to previous vocals prior to having the DSP available.

Thinny sound. Not for the price.

Brigade Chorus Pedal Plugin
A classic lush chorus sound...

The advantage is that there is no color.
"Compression without color" can be easily used for various tracks while having a sense of saturation. The advantage is that there is no color.
LA-3A has a natural compression and does not change the balance of each instrument or the mutual groove relationship.
Compared to that, the LA-2A has an impressive sound of the tube, so the track used is conspicuous. We both want to have.

I had to buy it, didn't want it.
This was part of the Apollo Heritage edition. I haven't tried it because I wasn't interested in it. And because I didn't know I bought it. UA is so annoying. It lists you all of the ca. 200 plugins, and you have no idea of which of them are demos and which you own. And scroll 200 plugins. Are you kidding me??? All I was interested in, was C-Vox. The rest I cannot recommend. And I don't need the rest for what I record with my fantastic Sound Devices MixPre-3 II.
