Just love it.
This is a significant upgrade in audio quality from the legacy version that comes bundled with UA gear.

Great Work UA
I have had the 1176 classic limiter collection for a couple of weeks now. I could not be more impressed with how these units react. I appreciate that you can do different combinations of ratios. Each one has a distinct thing that it does. Put on one of these in 12:1 ratio followed by an LA-2A silver in comp mode on your vocal and you'll never go back. This is way ahead of any other 1176 plugin I've tried. Great job UA! Keep up the good work.

Great sound/non-native language
Sounds great but, controls are a little awkward. Controls are not setup like other tape echo plugins so, it took a little work to understand.

Best Fairchild Emulation by a mile
It's not a real one, but when it comes to software this is as close as any software has gotten.

Every Mix
There is no mix that I do not use this plug in. A+

The real thing, not a cheap imitation
These are amazing compressors. I own all the waves and slate 1176 emulation compressors... and many more... and I by far like the UAD 1176 compressors the most. Hands down.

Secret weapon
I didn't have the luxury of working with the original hardware, so I'm going to go purely on how this 'feels' and 'sounds' to me... this thing brings out many of the wonderful textures of tracks that might be hidden in the digital depths. I tend to not hit it too hard in most cases, just adding a little bit of sweeting. But as many will attest to, this thing is a cumulative effect across all the tracks. Especially going into the Ampex.

Sound-Design Echo number one
My friend ROLAND and I like this plug-in very much!
I use these unit a lot for Sound-Design. Very Sci-Fiish sound and so if you need. Or for a crappy Bass-Solo a la Mr. Gene Simmons. Very nice also the Spring Reverb on it.

My number one ChorusPlug-In for clean Guitars
My friend ROLAND and I like this plug-in very much!
It is my first choice when it comes to Chorus for a Clean Guitar. The Tremolo I use not so often but it is nice to have.

Studio D Chorus
My friend ROLAND and I like this plug-in very much!
I have the original in the studio a long time ago. For me, there is nothing better to make thin synths richer and fater.

sounds like the original unit, so epic. Buy now

Sounds nice
Extremely easy to dial in and sounds great. A little boring perhaps but that's easy to fix with chorus or distortion etc..
.
5 stars for the color it adds and what it does to the sound
What can I say- everything that UAudio does is gold- and this is no exception. I love those EQs.

I like it, but...
Look, I'll say this off the bat to make it clear, this plugin sounds really excellent. This is not cheap sounding at all and I did, in fact, buy it because I liked it well enough to think it would get some significant use. It sounds like real tape. That said, I just think some of the native options sound better (to my ears). I did a shootout with the Slate VTM and Softube Tape native plugins on my own material in my own studio. I had to get it about as close as possible because none of them work the same way. Of the three, I liked Softube Tape the most followed by Slate. What I DO think this plugin crushes the other two in, however, is the calibration capabilities and the global option to apply a change made on one instance to ALL instances. That's brilliant. Sonically, I prefer the native options, but control-wise, this thing is king. I like it.
