Depth and Width
This plugin is just special. I love using it on lead vocals (sometimes background vocals too). Whenever I want the lead vocals to have a little more depth/or width in the mix I just put this thing on a bus and send a little bit of the lead vocals through it. Great job UAD!

UAD Oxide Tape Recorder
I like it. Not nearly as versatile as the A800 or ATR-102, but it's not intended to be. It's something that is quick, simple, and imparts a very smooth tape-like sound. Very nice.

Tremendamente calido
Ya que Oxide este dentro de tu lista de plugins por canal le da una calidez a tu señal que lo agradecerás.

Spectacular Reverb
I have a mostly digital recording set up for progressive metal music. For example, I use an Axe FX to record guitars direct, which a lot of people probably cringe when they hear, but it works for me. While fractal has some great reverbs, this box just blew my mind a little bit for clean guitars.
Both direct and miked guitars sound insanely good through the lexicon 224. There is an immense amount of flexibility, a ton of variety, and some great presets for starting points if you're new to plug-ins like this one. Vocals, guitars, drums, a lot of stuff sound really cool through this guy. You won't be disappointed!

I love Oxide Tape
I must say I love all the UA plug ins I've purchased. I haven't been disappointed with a single one. My most recent purchase was the Oxide Tape Recorder. I started off by using it on the inserts of a group of electric guitars. Right away I noticed the tracks were a bit warmer and a punchier. The difference can be subtle at times but when you use it on multiple tracks the accumulated result is obvious. I couldn't be happier with all my UA products. I'm looking to get the Ampex tape machine next!!!!

Cool plugin
Nice little plugin to use for that exaggerated tape sound! I bought it with a cool promotion and I try to use it all the time, sometimes it works magics sometimes it's too much, like many other colorful plugins it's another tool in my arsenal! Well done (again) UAD!

No-brainer!
I tried this on my drum buss and had to buy it. Works wonders on cymbals. Now I track with it on almost every track to take the digital sharpness away on the way in. Love it!

Practical...
I love the fact that you can use these plugins in a way that simulates the use of outboard gear. They sound great and the portability of the Apollo Twin makes all of this a practical investment.

Fantastic
The gloss of the oxide ribbon is perfect.
It also gives a very nice sound at low frequencies

Great functionality, beautiful warm sound
This plug in has a beautiful warm sound and the side chain works absolutely great!
Lat/Vert mode on drum bus: perfect!
It works for any other signal as well. Bass, Wah-Gtr, main and backing vocals and so on.
Great way to enrich your mixes, easy and efficient to use.
One of the most used compressor plug-ins I own.

Easy to use, great sound!!
It just helped me out adding punch to a snare, wich I somehow didn't`t get from another tool..
R. Quek
excellent reverberation
It works, nothing else to say, except perhaps that it works brilliantly!

Essential
When taking into account the sound, number of instances can use due to the low cpu loading this has and the price, it is essential.

Analoge Gold in all it's Digital Splendour!
What can I say about the Legendary LA-2A and this amazing plugin version that hasn't already been said...nothing much.
It's the workhorse compressor everyone needs and loves. But it.

The Lexicon 224 Legend
Lush reverb tails with soooooo much tone. Wasn't sure about the fader and button interface at first but it's surprisingly intuitive and retro cool looking.
