Instant Mojo ..... a Must Have!!!!
Been a little skeptical at first ..... But as long as you get Deeper ( presets are a gold start ) .... My acoustics Tracks are now breathing .... In the right way !!! And last but not least .... My clients gratification ..... And feedbacks are extremely Positives ( was workin... For two clients that needed some serious analog feel....treatment ) Job done !!!! thanks Uad Oxide !!!!!!!

UAD version of Slate VTM
Exactly what VTM users are looking for in a UAD style Tape Machine. Simple, effective gets the job done and then some. For users afraid of the 15ips sound for "modern sounding" reasons, try messing around with the EQ curves as well. You'll be surprised.

One of UA's Best
UA continues to hit home runs, I recently got the AMPEX and thought I'd heard it all until I spent some time with their new reworking of the Fairchild.
I would buy this compressor if ONLY for drums, but it works on almost anything really well. The "mix" knob sure makes life easy not having to set up a parallel compression buss, and the overall sound is wonderful....from subtle to extreme things sound richer and warmer and in the case of drums, wonderfully punchy.
Best Fairchild emulation I've heard, period. Next best thing to the real thing, which I used on Abbey Road in the Sixties.

Upgrading from Pultech Legacy
So when I bought my Apollo twin duo it came with the Pultech legacy plug-in. I've been very impressed with that on the last year and use it all the time. Then came an opportunity to upgrade to the full Pultech package for reasonable price and I debated on whether or not to do it. Could that really be that much difference? I bit the bullet and purchased the upgrade more so on the fact that I haven't really been let down by Universal audio yet. I decided to put it over a full drum kit just to get a taste. Sure enough my purchase was validated...there was just more depth, and I haven't even EQ'd anything yet. It was like the drum kit expanded slightly backwards giving me more of a three-dimensional richness. I hadn't expected that. Thx UA!

The Best Fairchild emulation ever.
I have personally compared the competitor's plugins to the UAD before purchase and I was fascinated by the way it sounds.
I loved it on drum buses, mix buses, and 660s on any mono tracks. The parallel compression mix knob is a big thumbs up, since it is used everywhere in today's productions, it just makes my life easier.

One of the classics
This by no doubt the closest to the real thing as far as i heard any other plugins. However the big minus with a lot of UAD plugins is they are not scalable and especially the dbx160 plugin is a tiny little thing on a 30 screen of Apple for. I hope that more users are mentioning this point to make the company to move ahead within issue. Very annoying. So 5 stars for sound . and 1 for this poor gui.

Good, but
Good plugin, but nothing to do with the ATR 102, which remains my favorite.
One could compare it with the Studer A800, the settings are simple, the presets are not all to my taste !!!
The price is very interested, but I prefer to choose other quoted above.
thank you uad

Suave

Oxide works!!
i've always been a bit dubious about these tape style plug ins. Often I have difficulty hearing the difference. Not this time! Having tried it out on a real job i was mixing fro a corporate film I was thrilled with the results, It's in my must have UAD list. Yours too probably!

Exactly the sound I was after!
When compared to other emulations of the classic Plutec sound, this is the only one that could give me what I wanted (and expected)

Great plug!
A very competent unit that excel on a multitude of various tasks. I tend to use it (670) on guitar bus and sometimes master bus, but 660 is great on snare, bass etc as well. 670 on Acoustic guitar is a killer, will add character to any vocal (play around with the headroom!) and is almost as good on strings and orchestral as it's hardware dad. I've worked with the hardware in various studios, and although I can't honestly say it's equally comparable, these plugs are certainly up there and will require quite a bit of ear and knowledge to dismiss as simply emulations. Should belong in your go-to setup.

A new favourite
Great plugs! I personally likes the grey, which has to do with how much it sounds like an old favourite hardware LA I worked with on a daily basis for years. It's scarily simliar in tone, behaviour and result. Only difference with the plugin enabling me to use multiple instances. Probably my favourite UAD plug and can't recommend it enough.

GREAT!!!
As I wrote in Analog Bundle, this is great simulation with some analog feel within. Great too for widening only when you just put it on some track with zero settings. Thanks UA for this EQ!!!
T. Kahl
GREAT!!!
As I wrote in Analog Classics bundle, these plugs are damn close to analog. Using it very often, Thanks for it, UA!

Amazing plug in

The three different Fairchilds have quite different colors. Very useful.
