Finally, at my fingertips, the sound I've been hearing for ages..
Ever since I first saw the 224 hardware controller sitting on a console back in the 80's - and started hearing recordings featuring this incredibly lush sound, I've been searching for a way to duplicate it.
I've owned several cheaper Lex hardware units and tried various reverb plugins but NONE came close to this magic. But from the minute I launched this plugin and tried out the controls, I realized two things: First, THIS IS THE SOUND I've been coveting for years. And second, it's REALLY EASY to use.
I couldn't be happier and can't wait to use this in my mixes.

This badboy here is amazing, I usually put it on my kick drum and snare and my god is just tape music to my ears I can describe it is just big body and meaty definitely go to on all my ongoing projects. But to be honest I mainly used this bad boy on vocals. I mainly do Hip Hop Pop and R&B!
My vocal chain is U87 70's ver. - Through the UAD neve 1073 - Studer A800 - Pultec -La2a silver and my God Vocals never sounded better, it's the Million dollar studio vocal quality everybody's been searching for. Thanks UA i'm your customer for life! I recommend the studer to everybody!

Love the silver
Love the faster time constants on the silver. I use it a lot on vocals and other sources. The mkii collection adds some nice extra special magic on crucial tracks over the original la2a.

Incredible software compressor from UA!
I’ve worked with the actual LA2A many times and this software version comes amazingly close to the real thing! It gives unique vintage taste and works great at the Master channel strip as a limiter. Its natural and analog character adds a bit of “life” to each sound.

Definitely Worth Buying
I picked this up cause it was on sale. I got to tell you this is an awesome compressor. Especially on guitars and drums. Can't beat this especially for the money. Well worth the purchase.

Smooth and forward
I A/B'ed this against another well-known LA-3A emulator plugin and this one won hands down. The other plugin exhibited unwanted pumping behavior with minimal compression, while this one remained smooth with the same gain reduction. The compression was more transparent, but it brought the vocal to the front nicely and gave it a little mid-push.
I was waiting on this one to see if they would make an updated version. Now that I finally gave in and bought it, I'm sure we will see the updated version soon...

Great sounds right from the presets
I never used any of the hardware this plugin is based on but I can say they make every track sound awesome. Just swapping between presets is aurally pleasing.

A classic lives on
This is a useful, good sounding compressor that is intuitive to use and maintains the character of the original. As I recall, this is one of Bob Clearmountain's favorite compressors, and if it's good enough for him, it's GOOD, indeed!

I only have used The LA 2 since I've got this pack. But BODY AND WARMTH AND DEPTH, DEFINITION..
I love this as a 2nd compressor in the chain. Beautiful master piece of a plugin!

Great Compressor
I bought this one because we have two LA-3A's at the studio where I work. I wanted something at home to use especially on snare drums.
The plug in really sounds and reacts like the outboard ones at the studio. I've already used the plugin on two mixes and I am really glad I have it.

Best Tape Emulation plugin in the industry
I have never seen or heard any plugin that nailed it like the UA Studer A800.
With UA's Plugin Technology and all the Hhigh Quality" Audio Interface/Converters out there, I still wonder if there's any need spending fortunes on Hardware Gears (Excluding Mic Preamps) these days.

The glue
I automatically have been throwing this on my master fader to get that "glue". Very versatile plugin for type of music you are recording/mixing or on individual instruments. I have had my eye on this plugin for a while and wish I had gotten it sooner. Love it.
