What is this technology?
Compared to other emulations, this new UA 1176 collection is hardware. Other companies emulations, including Ua's old 1176n sound like gain staging when stacked up against these 3 beasts! A channel strip with the Trident A Range and any one of the 1176 Collection sounds enormous. I'm blown away....
Great job UA.

1176 collection
Anybody willing to give you a two week trial of there products must feel that the products are good !!!!
I have found with all the plugins from this company I have bought are excellent.
I have worked with some of the real products like 1176 , lexicons and studers and truly like the universal audio plugins. Thanks very much

Such a beast!
Throwing this on first in the chain has saved so much tweaking... it just sounds right and fat out of the gate. Be cautious with the presets if using on your master bus, noise / hiss controls are hidden under the additional controls.

Excellent, just UAD, emulation
Great sound quality, great to work with.
Variability (three types of hardware emulation).
Pleasure for work and pleasure for the eye.

Best Reverb Plugin I have ever had...
I have never tried the hardware, but this plugin has reinterpreted the concept of using reverb in my home studio. My vocal recording and all other recordings (i.e.: guitars, hard synths) sound conceptionally different and much better, they have come into life. The chorus sound great on my vocal recording. I will use it very often in my sessions!!!

Doesn't sound like a plug in
These emulations sound like real hardware compressors. Effortlessly gives power and character to vocals. I'm amazed at how far you can push these and still have them sound great.

For ALL
I use LA2 in MASTER BUS. Sound amazing.
Pultec Pro and La2 G in bass is the perfect bass process.

1176 collection
Really top plugins from UA ! Still didn't have much time to test in deep but all the times I relied on them my mix got immediately what I was looking for .
I still wanna test accurately but I can say that UA did an amazing job this time, amazing on vocals , bass and parallel comp !
Thanks UA !

Great Plug-in, really close to the actual unit. FAR too expensive tho, as are almost all the UAD plug-ins.

I wanted some quality compression on some bass and vocals, this gets it done!

Flavor country
I have some hardware and have used several other 1176 plugins, but I keep coming back to the UAD emulations. Now, I've got a new arsenal of tonal and dynamic options to play with.

Worth it's weight in gold!
If you can only afford one comp plugin, this is the one! Incredible value!

La2a Impressions
This plugin really sounds like the original which I'm quite familiar with. I even measured the distortion with an AP analyser and found the plugin to be a highly accurate rendition of an old model that I have. Also I love the addition of the very rare La2. It has a longer release which really suits certain situations. I don't love the fact that the default setting is not unity gain.

1176 Classic Limiter Collection
I love how they work and they sound really really good! Compared to the real stuff you can hardly hear any difference!

Real presence in a digital age
Choose your flavour and your good, tweak the simple controls and your perfect!

An elegant weapon from a more civilised age
Sweet and warm enveloping sound that sits comfortably in the mix. Not as random or clumsy as the modern convolution reverbs. An elegant weapon from a more civilised age.

What a difference
I bought the original LA-2A plug-in, and I was disappointed. What it added to the sound, I didn't want. When they announced the 'new' version, I was skeptical, to say the least. But, as my poor bill-paying wife would warn you, once you try it, you're going to buy it. I've been using the 'gray' version on vocals and bass and OMG…what a difference! While the first version sounded grainy, with a bit of tin—this one is just pure power in a knob. Rock and roll!

Can't live without it.
Through an unfortunate series of events, I recently lost the authorization for my Lexicon 224 and my Ampex ATR-102 plug ins. I was devastated. I have a huge arsenal of plug-ins from nearly every plug in manufacturer—over 40 reverbs—but I was unable to find any 'verb that sounded the same, or as good. I had no choice but to repurchase both plugs. I know this is supposed to recreate some 80's hardware unit, but really, it's the best sounding reverb I own, bar none. It's so smooth, you forget it's on the track. Take it away and you're scrambling to find a suitable replacement. It goes on sale once in a while, and when it does, do yourself a favor and get this plug. The ATR-102 is also great; I'll review it separately.
