LA-3A classic
It is a great limiter. After having bought some other brands of limiters and compressors, I should have only stayed with the Universal products, they are just great. A must and no brainer, is to buy the Studer 800 and the Ampex 104 recording machines. The rest of the plugins, try them before buying them. The EMT reverbs are fenomenal, and probably enough.

Lexicon® 224
Magnificent instrument! Great sound regardless of the setup mode. Using it is not long, but already managed to "fall in love" in this sound. Thank you for the UA for pleasure to have this device and use it on my PC.

Truly Beautiful
I cant begin to express just how beautiful this reverb is.
Years ago, I owned a Lexicon LXP-5 which was my dedicate reverb processor for quite some time. The cool thing about this little unit was that although known more for its modulation-effects, it did come with a reverb setting allowing users to set incredibly long decay times, making for some really dreamy and spacious reverb. The results, even for 12bit hardware, were simply beautiful.
I've always remembered "that" sound and have searched a long time to find a reverb plugin that could come close or even better to it. So when the Lexi224 debuted, I was hopeful and after demo'ing it, it was clear my was search over.
This is easily the best reverb plugin I have ever used. Thanks UAD.

At last I understand what 1176 is all about
I've never tried the hardware...I love the sound of all the other UAD plugs and therefore I trust these guys...and I don't give a damn wether this sounds like the real thing or not. I just love how it sounds.
I'm not that big of a fan of their earlier 1176 plug version... I used it only on drums. I never understood why every major mixer I read about was always talking about using a bunch of 1176's. Finally I understand why.

Studer® A800 Multichannel Tape Recorder Plug-In Review
Well... for all you analog haters out there [maybe not a lot of UA users], I dare you to try this and not LOVE IT!! It is like the glue that holds the mix together, that makes it sound human, natural. Another winner from UA...
thanks for bringing my old friend back to me!!

The best Reverb-Plugin I ever had on my PC.
I guess it uses the original algorithms.

Studer A800 delivers amazing analog texture
I can't get enough tape! After purchasing the A800 tape emulator, I've been using it on everything: drum bus, vocals, guitars...even strapping it across the master for the "old school" feel on my tracks.
Most of my work is on post audio, but I've found numerous applications for the Studer plug-in for all styles of music. Completely authentic and with a killer bank of presets, the Studer A800 is a must have for anyone with a DAW setup looking to add warmth and character to their mixes.
Outstanding!!

Really cool
The effect of the Studer is subtle but it makes things gel better. Careful with the noise settings or you'll suddenly find yourself in hiss hell. It can also be used for some really cool creative effects. It was a great buy!

Excellent emulation!
I'e always loved the 224 in the studio and this plug in is a very faithful emulation of the real thing. Now I have my own Lexicon 224 for a fraction of the cost of the original unit.

1176 even more classic
I really like the new 1176 collection, it's way better than than old, 1176,
if you need a go to compressor, this is a top candidate.

Happy Ears Indeed !

Great Reverb Plugin / has that Lexicon Space I have missed since leaving hardware land. At first I had issues with this plugin rendering 100 wet regardless of settings. UA Support was fantastic (thanks guys) and the supplied patch took care of that situation. For the price point you definitely won’t be disappointed !

I love this thing!
This is the first plug-in I bought for the apollo, so I ran the demo and all my fears were left behind. I was afraid this thing could be like the other tape-emulation plug-ins I've tested from other companies: too subtle or too harsh. If I were to spend that kind of money on it, it would have to sound great, and guess what? It does!!
I don't know if it sounds LIKE the original or not, I haven't tried it out, nor do I have the possibilities to, but anyway, what this plug-in does is absolutely great. It can be subtle, but with character, or you can damage the audio and get away with it.
The result? after using it on almost every track of a session it sounds fuller, more compact, and the low end sounds tighter.

effective, subtle, and musical
This plugin insert on each tracks harmonious distortion brings me to my virtual instruments. I have wished for years that sound found on LP 80 years ... here it is, and it is very effective.
That's all.
Thank's UAD!

Familiar but new
As the title suggests this is an 1176 but the tones and feel of these machines are different! Definantly recommend this I use at least one of these on every single song I make now. It's not just a repackaged 1176 it's been very much improved
