Easy to use and sounds fab
My fast go to chorus, sounds analog and works really great on a lot of stuff!

Bump Saturation and Power
Extremely versatile machine with a lot of analog flavor! Can't mix without it!

This thing is smooth and I love the comp for gentle tracking squeeze db or so. This is in my chain 50% of the time if tracking via the UAD

The extra tone
The preamp does it very well. I don't need everytime a preamp, but at some sessions it is very helpfull. Sounds great.

Best Rotary Speaker insite my Mac Pro.
A very well made rotary speaker, if not the best. Unfortunately very difficult to lug around, which fortunately is not noticeable in the plug-in version. Awesome and thank you.

Tape emulation at its best
Does the job ! nice saturation, very good sounding.

Great sound & character!
Great sound and character, for classic tape slap or crazy fx. Also nice to overdrive the input

My favorite tape
Very simple controls, but has an amazing silky sound, love it on anything

My new favorite synth
The interface is simple yet so powerful, great sounding synth, I always find myself using it in every single production since purchase.
It’s not just another synth you’ll purchase and forget about, it’s something you’ll always find yourself coming back to.

Very good, not essential.
I haven't found a reason to use this in EVERYTHING. However, it's that something different in my arsenal when doing vocal processing. I hit vocals with 1176, then Pultec EQ, then LA-2A....and this thing can really be a weapon. It's a great replica I just don't think it's in my Top 5 best UAD plugins

Saturation = Secret Sauce
Sometimes you want warmth, sometimes you want that something "extra". This is it. Tape saturation gives you so much and sounds amazing on guitar, bass, vocals, drums...EVERYTHING.

Awesome!
I love this especially in console for my Hi-Z guitar input. Allows me to easily practice guitar with a pleasing tone without even opening my DAW!

$89 I bought in the promotion five minutes before midnight and the other day when I got up, they charged me $150
There is no respect for customers, that’s not fair

Great sounding tape emulation but...
This is a great sounding plugin - only wish the native version had the gang control - I'm not sure I would have bought had I realized this very handy control was missing,

I do not own a mini Moog but
While I do not own an actual mini Moog and never even played one (I am not a keyboardist) I have to think that this is very close to the original.
While I haven't played an actual mini moog I do own two different moog synthesizers as well as several other 'models'. This is by far the fattest sounding mini Moog I have heard. It's almost as fat as my actual Moogs.
This is one of my favorite UAD plugins and I own many!
I don't use MIDI so I understand the complaints but since I don't use MIDI other than connecting my MIDI NI keyboard (which loads perfectly) I can't speak to anything else on that

I like but don't love this one
Why I don't love it: I also own McDSP analog plugin. The McDSP is way fatter than the UAD. Like monumentally fatter! It can almost get too fat at times. So you have to be careful.
You don't have to be careful with UAD Studer A800. At least not too much. However it can be extremely subtle almost too subtle. When you try to drive it it distorts. McDSP doesn't really do that. All in all a really good plug-in though.

1176 / LA2A combo
It’s a little like having an 1176 / LA2A combo!

It's good not great
I LOVE a good delay and the more words it gets the more I love it. I'm all fairness, in part I am reviewing the unit itself as well as UAD profile of the unit.
As far as the unit itself (software), it's limiting. There aren't as many tonal options as I had hoped for. THIS HAS NOT ANYTHING TO DO WITH UAD , But I felt important to share that point. I have used a Binson in the past, so I know what it is supposed to sound like and given that I will say that UAD did a great job with emulating it.
I do wish UAD would add functionalities that are not available on the original units. This goes for any plugin. They are great for one-to-one recreations. Maybe the best at doing that! It would be nice to have more options such as longer delays morphing etc.
This is just me, I don't speak for everyone I realize that.
I personally felt it important to point out.
With that said another great creation by UAD!
