Get the Delay that Revolutionized Modern Rock and Pop

Introduced in 1982, the KORG SDD-3000 Digital Delay was popularized by U2 guitarist, The Edge, to forge one of the most identifiable guitar sounds in history. The SDD-3000 also found a home in early new wave and 80’s synth music. Now you can get the vintage hardware's colorful analog circuitry and burnished-sounding 13-bit delays right in your DAW.

What They Say

The KORG SDD-3000 plug-in gives you everything from standard delay taps to thick stereo widening. Also, set the input to -30dB and you’ll get a nice distortion, giving your soft synths some extra mojo.

The Glitch Mob

Back in the day the KORG SDD-3000 was a bit of an oddball — was it a guitar effect or a studio processor? UA has captured all the idiosyncrasies and unique overdrive textures of the original hardware.

Only thing we would love to have is the native version of the plug in!

    Very authentic.

This emulation is pretty uncanny. Sounds just like the real one.

Unison-capable Delay, but is not yet native.

5 years after Apple delivered the first silicon Mac to developers, UA's plugin catalog still contains over 100 plugins that are not yet native. Every other company has now managed to adapt their plugins for the Apple silicon platform, but not UA. Personally, I find this unacceptable. I have drawn the conclusions and will now buy from somewhere else. In the worst case, the Korg SDD-3000 Digital Delay will never be adapted. If I had known that beforehand, I would never have bought it, even though it sounds flawless and is the only delay that is Unison-capable. At least that's something.

Frequently Asked Questions

Yes, you’ll need an Apollo audio interface, UAD-2 Satellite, or UAD-2 PCIe card to run these plug-ins, using the onboard DSP. The plug-ins run on the hardware itself, without adding strain to your computer’s CPU. In an Apollo, onboard DSP processing allows you to run realtime UAD plug-ins with near-zero latency, and even record that processing directly to your DAW.

This refers to the number of SHARC DSP processors in Apollo and UAD-2 hardware. A DUO core system has twice the amount of processing power compared to a SOLO core system. More SHARC DSP cores increases the number of UAD-2 plug-ins you can run on the hardware.

No, Satellites provide DSP to run UAD-2 plug-ins in your DAW.

Yes, you can start a fully functional 14-day demo from any plug-in bundled with the UAD software. Simply click “Start Demo”, and start using it in your DAW.

UAD-2 licenses follow the hardware, it does not matter which computer they are connected to. You can have up to six UAD-2 devices registered to a system in your Universal Audio account, which share those licenses. See UAD-2 Plug-In Licensing Explained for full details. Authorisation of UAD-2 hardware is managed by the UAD Meter & Control Panel Application.
